3. IMAGE PROCESSING AND STORAGE
3.1 Image Processing
When you upload or capture an ultrasound image through the App:
- The image is processed locally on your device or sent temporarily to our AI service provider (Google Gemini API) for analysis
- The image is used solely for generating gender predictions
- Images are NOT stored on our servers
- Images are NOT saved to your device unless you explicitly save a scan result
- Images are NOT shared with any third parties except our AI service provider for processing
3.2 Scan Results
If you choose to save scan results within the App:
- Only the scan results (prediction, confidence level, analysis text) are stored locally on your device using SwiftData
- The original ultrasound image may be stored locally on your device if you choose to save it
- This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers
- You can delete saved scans at any time through the App
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
4.1 Google Gemini API
We use Google's Gemini API to process ultrasound images and generate gender predictions. When you submit an image for analysis:
- The image is sent to Google's servers for AI processing
- Google's privacy policy applies to how they handle this data
