One Night Only
Mamma Mia lends itself well with Last Disco so you've got some overlap. Our Last Disco guide can be found here. Here's some of our favorite weekend tag lines that are Mamma Mia themed:
Mamma Mia She's Getting Married // And Dot Dot Dot // [Bride's Name] Found Her Honey Honey // Hotel Bella [Bride's Name] // Voulez Vouz She's Saying I Do // One Night Only
We love blues and silver for this theme. Blue feels so Greek island while the silver brings in the disco! We also love pops of pink to play off the beautiful flowers found in Greece and on the cover of the movie.

Okay, so we've got some ideas here. You can lean into the summer in Greece aesthetic with mesh totes like this one. Fill with a breezy Turkish towel, capri blue scented candle, and pink acrylic champagne glasses. Don't forget your Greek hottie glass marker!
Or you can channel Donna and the Dynamos with a blue feather boa, microphone, shimmery scrunchie and disco ball cups. We love these shimmery silver re-usable tote bags.
For your Sophie (aka bride), decorate her room with this cute Dancing Queen banner! She needs a special microphone of her own, as well as some disco sunglasses and a captain's hat.
The first and foremost weekend activity will be watching Mamma Mia and preferably having a sing a long. Even if it's just background noise, the movie is a must.
As a nod to Donna and Sophie's many adventures and that iconic scene in Mamma Mia 2 where Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard sail in for the hotel's new opening while Dancing Queen blasts in the background, being on a boat is a perfect choice. Whether that's sailing on a sunset, dinner, or booze cruise, being on the water feels right!

Between sailing and dancing and singing, there needs to be food. We love the idea of catering in a Greek lunch or dinner, complete with spanakopita, pitas, and hummus.
Set up a beautiful tablescape inspired by the movie and the beauty of Greece. Blue goblets and rattan chargers are the perfect starters for your table. We also feel these faux pink flowers are the perfect match to those found in Greece.

Of course we need a little party! Find a bar or club featuring disco music or even a silent disco! A karaoke bar also feels so on brand for Mamma Mia. Before going out, make sure your babes are dressed in their best disco attire and everyone has their body glitter. You could even set up a glitter bar, complete with different color glitter and makeup brushes to apply.
If you're a maid of honor, a memorable idea is for a few of the babes to dress up as Donna and the Dynamos to serenade the bride. It's silly but also so memorable and special!
Deck out your space with a blue fringe backdrop, silver starburst balloons, and a fun sign. Disco balls are a necessity, like the ones found here.

Whether it is a dining table or your outdoor space, set up an area that is reminiscent of Greece, with beautiful blue and white patterns and pops of pink. Natural and woven textures are a beautiful compliment to this aesthetic.
