The Bio-Sustainable Transformation of Environmental Waste (b-STEW) Laboratory at Hankyong National University develops waste-to-energy and waste-to-valuable-materials technologies for carbon-neutral and circular environmental systems.

We focus on environmental biotechnology through interdisciplinary approaches combining microbiology, molecular biology, bioprocess engineering, electrochemistry, and biochar-based technologies to enhance waste treatment, valorization, and environmental remediation across water, soil, and gas streams.
