Workshop Date: June 22, 2025
About the workshop:
Autonomous vehicles, drones (UAVs), and digital twin technology are transforming how we move around, thanks to the rapid growth of smart transportation and connected vehicles. These innovations offer great benefits, like better safety, efficiency, and sustainability, but they also bring serious challenges, especially when it comes to protecting privacy, ensuring security, and preventing cyber-physical attacks. This workshop focuses on three key areas: digital twin technology, the use of UAVs, and the broader smart transportation ecosystem. Participants will learn how digital twins can be used to simulate, monitor, and predict vehicle behavior and spot potential security risks in advance. The session will also look at how drones are being added to transportation systems and how to keep data secure, protect privacy, and respond to threats in real time. The goal of the workshop is to encourage collaboration between industry and universities to create safer transportation solutions. Topics will include secure vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, using blockchain for car security, AI-powered threat detection, and new rules and regulations for smart transportation systems.

The IEEE INTELLIGENT VEHICLES SYMPOSIUM (IV 2025)
It is the premier annual forum organized by the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS). IV 2025 will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Researchers, academics, and practitioners from universities, industry, and government agencies are invited to submit their latest research papers, simulation challenges, and applications on Intelligent Vehicles and Intelligent Vehicle Infrastructures. The symposium will feature Plenary Talks, Technical Sessions, Poster Sessions, Tutorials, Workshops, Exhibitions, Industrial Demonstrations, and Challenges. Also, it will provide a memorable Social Program to all participants around the world. Authors are invited to submit full-length papers up to 6 pages for technical content, including figures and references. Additional pages will be charged at the rate of $100 per page and are limited to two pages per paper. Each accepted paper must be covered by at least one non-student registration. Additional papers by the same authors will be charged at the flat rate of $400 per paper (https://ieee-iv.org/2025/ )
