Hi! My name is Azzam Santosa and I am a PhD Candidate in Finance at Ghent University. Previously, I participated in the Fund Internship Program of the International Monetary Fund. My supervisors are Prof. Dr. Martien Lamers and Prof. Dr. Rudi Vander Vennet.

I research the impact of climate change in financial markets. My work particularly explores how climate change affects sovereign borrowing,  banking system stability and bank lending. The goal of the research is to identify which types of countries and banks are at risk to aid climate change adaptation and mitigation.

I hold a MSc. in Financial Economics and a LL.M. in Financial Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
