Welcome to my PhD webpage!

Hi! My name is Azzam Santosa and I am a PhD Candidate in Economics at Ghent University. In addition to my academic research,  I also work as a Quantitative Researcher at Statistics Netherlands. I participated in the Fund Internship Program of the International Monetary Fund in 2023. My supervisor is Prof. Dr. Martien Lamers. 

My research focuses on the impact of climate change on financial markets, with a particular emphasis on sovereign borrowing, financial stability, and bank lending. The goal of the research is to identify vulnerable countries and banks, contributing to effective climate change adaptation and mitigation.

I hold a MSc. in Financial Economics and a LL.M. in Financial Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
