Zorfazoa
(The Last Common Ancestor of all Azulian Animals)
The Vorfazoa is the first true multicellular animal with permanently specialized cells. It has a semi-transparent body consisting of layers of specialize cells all working together as one organism. It's a small, gelatinous blob shaped organism that is attached to the sea floor, stromatolites, or microbial mats. Vorfazoa has a lifespan of only a few days to a week, and once it is productively mature, it reproduces through budding, however if resources are scare then it would reproduce sexually by releasing free-swimming larvae that would drift along the ocean currents for hours to days until it hits a solid surface.
The Vorfazoa split into two major lineages, one to stay primitive and outlast every other species, while the other continued to carry the evolutionary flame and grow.
Unfortunately, the Vorfazoa went extinct by the end of the Janzoic period due to changing environmental pressures. he Vorfazoa reign ended after 160 million years, but its descendants continued on.
