FUCA
FIRST UNIVERSAL COMMON ANCESTOR
FUCA is the First. Universal. Common. Ancestor. i.e the first official organism to call Azula 155B their home. FUCA is a relatively small cellular entity that blurs the line between life and non-life only consisting of RNA strands surrounded by a gelatinous filling around it. FUCA is 10 micrometers in diameter and lives worldwide across the Lapetus ocean. FUCA has a primitive cell membrane that holds its fluids toegther and reproduces through an early form of mitosis. Since FUCA only lives for 16-20 hours, it is forced to reproduce quickly and die young. FUCA is a sessile entity, using ocean currents as its form of mobility through gliding. FUCA is an anarobic organism with a vapid diet. FUCA arrived onAzula 155B via a comet based on a process called panspermia and ever since then it has been thriving in the ocean-wide primordial soup; with opportunities to bloom into all sorts of forms of life.
