Not-so-friendly faces
Werner exits the universe bouncer’s portal, coming face to face with a large number of people in quite fancy armored uniforms. “Werner, by order of the MCC higher-ups, you have been sentenced to execution by reality erasure!” One of the soldiers roared out, Werner straightening his posture. The MCC, also known as the Multiverse Correctional Council, was composed of some of the strongest beings in all of creation. They all collectively follow one goal: protect the gods' scripted timeline and ensure all the events go as planned. But of course, Werner was an outlier.
Another portal nearby opens; none other than Azalo-T walks out. Azalo-T perks up at the sight of Werner, showing a slight bit of confusion, then fear, then realization. “Oh, that's why-” Azalo-T mutters to himself, stopping himself from continuing. “Yeah, it is,” Werner responds, Azalo-T wondering how the fuck Werner heard him. “So, this is it? You really initiated the Nothing Protocol?” Azalo-T asks rhetorically. “You know why this has to happen; don't act like this isn't of our greatest interest,” Werner remarks coldly. “Your logic is sound. I've never assumed you a liar, nor a manipulator… Werner, I want to continue. Give this everything you have. I’ll hold these usurpers off your back.” Azalo-T says, walking past Werner to slowly approach the MCC soldiers. Werner launches himself off the planet, Azalo-T grabbing the shockwave directly and throwing it at one of the soldiers.
Though in another universe, the Cataclysmic Scourge’s radio suddenly rings, announcing Azalo-T going rogue on the MCC. Scourge moves to open a portal there, but his portal is nullified by a strange energy. A sudden flash of vanta black lightning startles the Scourge, glancing behind and noticing Azalo-E walking towards him. “Why is your ass here? You don't interrupt with mortal affairs or something.” The Scourge says sarcastically. “I abide by the rules appointed by myself, and currently, I don't have any rules to follow,” Azalo-E answers, appearing directly behind the Scourge with a flash of black.
As well, and finally. Azalo-X descends upon the planet housing the Architect, soon finding him. The Architect swings his blade down, decapitating the God of Treachery. “Well, aren't you brutal. Did you lose any selflessness while locked up in that box?” Azalo-X remarks at the sight.
But as usual, let's focus on one at a time.
Traitor
Azalo-T blocks two strikes, palm striking one of the soldiers and erasing his entire chest from reality. Two backliners conjure large spinning blades with reality manipulation, firing them directly at Azalo-T. -T redirects the first one, slicing through two incoming melee soldiers as he shatters the other saw. Hundreds of soldiers march from newly opened portals; Azalo-T recognizes he's becoming outnumbered far too fast. Azalo-T flies to space, forming a planet-sized saw blade to slice it in half. As Azalo-T watches the planet split in half, two portals form around him, with Someone and the God of Identity walking out.
Azalo-T punches the space in front of him, shattering the fabric of reality to send Paul far back. “Teaming pussy.” Azalo-T remarks. Paul uses his identity magic to copy reality manipulation; God of Identity does the same as they both rush in for powerful reality-infused strikes. “Y’know, a perk of reality manipulation is you control everything around you. Idiots!” Azalo-T yells out, sending out a magic wave around him to reset both their identity manipulation. Paul rushes again, committing to hand-to-hand with his lack of proper magic types. Azalo-T weaves the first strike, knocking Paul back as God of Identity hits a sneaky side kick. Paul catches Azalo-T, only for his grab to be met with shattered reality. Azalo-T haymakers Paul to a nearby planet, body-slamming God of Identity into the same planet. Paul uses The Frost to freeze Azalo-T as he lands, -T completely nullifying the magic with a spatial force field. The God of Identity copies the trace amount of reality manipulation, breaking Azalo-T’s shield and allowing Paul to freeze him. Paul rushes in, infusing his punch with soul manipulation as he did to defeat Azalo-T before. Though this moment was far different, Azalo-T knew he had to win. Azalo-T tears out the ice, catching Paul's punch and stealing the soul manipulation with his reality manipulation. The God of Identity attempts to stop Azalo-T, only for -T to use the Soul manipulation on him. Paul and Azalo-T are pushed back with the sudden burst of energy, both looking up to see the God of Identity dead. Paul’s power surges as he’s crowned the new God of Identity, using spatial manipulation to pull Azalo-T directly towards him. -T grabs onto the space pulling him, reducing it to shattering glass. Paul conjures a firework, shooting it at Azalo-T, with the explosion turning into a pulsar. Azalo-T palm-strikes the whirling pulsar, forcing it to supernova with his spatial manipulation. Paul soon realized that if he continued to use such powerful spells, he’d run out of mana far faster than Azalo-T, choosing to move on to defense. Azalo-T pulls on the spacetime in front of him, blinking to appear directly in front of Paul for one powerful reality-infused punch. Azalo-T conjures a small clock, rewinding time around him and Paul to a second before for another punch, continuing this for a swift and uncounterable combo. Paul creates a veil between him and Azalo-T, using spatial manipulation to appear behind Azalo-T the next second. Azalo-T narrowly dodges the first knife hand, firing a beam of pure kinetic energy at Paul to create distance. Paul redirects the beam, body-slamming Azalo-T into another planet. Azalo-T shoves Paul away, using a combination of Gravity and Spatial manipulation to grab the space in front of him and pull it down. Paul resists the warping of gravity, attempting to nullify it with his own Gravity manipulation. Azalo-T teleports behind Paul, rending him through the warped space with one reality-infused dropkick. Paul slowly recovers, noting his mana reserves are dangerously low. Azalo-T circles Paul, watching as even more MCC portals open around him.
Azalo-T watches as two gods and three deities walk out of the portals, one being the God of Reality, his own teacher. A sudden energy rips through the air with their arrival, but it for sure wasn't anyone in this galaxy who created it. “I know that energy… The God of Treachery has fallen.” Azalo-T announces, grabbing the fabric of space around him and tearing it off, masking his rushdown.
Willpower
The God of Reality slams the ground, uplifting all the nearby land to mask their movement with Azalo-T’s blind rush. -T still locates Paul, hitting him with one powerful Reality-infused punch, nullifying his defense and killing Paul the next second. Azalo-T raises his finger at one of the gods as they attempt to sneak past Azalo-T, shattering the reality in front of him to send the god to a different galaxy. Azalo-T breathes heavily, knowing his mana supply is running lower by the second. Azalo-T slams his foot onto the ground, thousands of eldritch eyes appearing from the land. Azalo-T dodges the hundreds of sudden strikes from the deity of light, the eyes tracing every movement in perfect frames for Azalo-T to visualize. The God of Foresight opens a portal behind Azalo-T, his own power making him completely unable to predict where Azalo-T will dodge. -T suddenly palm-strikes the Deity of Light back, hitting the God of Foresight with a tornado spin hook kick. The God of Reality rushes in at the sight of Azalo-T knocking both of his comrades away, -T dodging his barrage of attacks swiftly. The God of Reality quickly notices Azalo-T’s eyes are closed and quickly figures the eyes spread across the battlefield are his source of prediction and vision. The Deity of Light uses his Spirit Technique Ten, using pillars of light to destroy every eye and try to kill Azalo-T. Azalo-T uses his reality manipulation, briefly turning himself into a photon and reforming directly behind the Deity of Light. Azalo-T drives his forearm through the back of the Deity of Light’s head, killing him in less than a second. The God of Reality follows behind, the God of Foresight passing his ability to the other god just as the Deity of Gravity traps Azalo-T. The God of Reality lands two clean blows, Azalo-T dodging the next for a counterattack. The God of Reality effortlessly weaves the strike, landing a strong gut punch. Azalo-T tears at the space around him, shunting everyone far back. As everyone recovers, hundreds more portals open, releasing some of the strongest Deities and plenty of Gods. Azalo-T stands in the middle of the horde, surrounded. “Just give up, Azalo-T; you’re surrounded and highly outnumbered.” The God of Reality bargains. Azalo-T looks up, only seeing the image of the woman he loved. She cupped his cheeks, bringing her face close to his. “You’ve done well, but the job isn't finished. You can do this, Tarron; you must. Win for me.” She tells him softly, a tear falling down his face as he rises to his feet. “YOU’RE WRONG, I HAVE THE PEOPLE WHO CARE FOR ME! AND I WILL NOT LOSE TILL THEY’RE PROUD!” Azalo-T roars out, slamming the ground and using Spirit Technique Ten. Everyone defends themself; some deities die due to the sheer amount of unleashed energy, and the planet shatters as a result. Azalo-T roars out again, using his spatial manipulation and raw speed to kill off most of the gods and deities in the area. The God of Reality uses his own spirit technique ten, attempting to outscale Azalo-T. -T speed-blitzes the God of Reality, landing an ungodly fast combo before the God of Reality can even perceive what happened. The God of Reality backhands Azalo-T, healing himself briefly with magic before using spatial manipulation for defense. Azalo-T shatters the spatial barrier, body-slamming the God of Reality into another solar system.
Every god and deity that lived follows suit, soon landing on a planet only a few moments after Azalo-T and the God of Reality did. Azalo-T walks towards the small army slowly, holding the severed head of the God of Reality. “With the God of Treachery dead, someone has to take his place. And that someone is me!” Azalo-T says while erasing the God of Reality’s head. Two Deities rush Azalo-T down, the God of Gravity holding him down from a distance. Azalo-T grabs onto the gravity field around him, throwing it directly at the two deities to immobilize them. The God of Sound fires a large sonic blast, pushing Azalo-T back. -T uses the pressure to directly grab the sound around him, throwing it right back at the God of Sound. The God of Sound nullifies the blast; the God of Impact appears directly above Azalo-T for an earth-shattering punch. Azalo-T dodges swiftly, watching as the planet shatters from the impact. Azalo-T takes the moment of distraction, teleporting behind the God of Gravity and using Reality manipulation to reduce his form to a bloody cloud. Azalo-T knew at that moment he wouldn't be able to outmatch the 5 other gods and 8 deities, deciding to take them all out at once. Even if it meant suicide. Azalo-T conjured a radio, notifying Werner to get as far away from him as possible. Werner, hearing the command, knew what Azalo-T was going to do. Azalo-T charged his fist with Reality and Spatial manipulation, announcing the spell for a stronger impact. “REALITY MANIPULATION: SHATTERING AURORA,” Azalo-T announced, punching the space in front of him and the gods. A massive explosion rips out, the energy strands and sheer impact decimating the galaxy and any others surrounding it.
Azalo-T wakes, his body somehow stabilizing and returning to life. He summons a portal, landing on a nearby planet to rest. Azalo-T had won; it was all finally over.
She was proud.
As Azalo-T went to rest upon a tree, thousands of portals opened around him. Even more gods began to surround him. With his lack of mana, there was zero chance he could take this fight. But of course, he had a trump card:
“Burning night, Burning light.
I cannot fear; I must not fright.
His flesh glows red, his eyes burn bright.
I want to flee, I wish to fly.
I call upon who cannot soar.
Shalt he soar; he leads the horde.
I’d hate to live; I’d want to die.
I call upon the Burning Blight.”
Azalo-T recites, his body mutating into the Burning Blight's core itself. “Well, isn't my little guy in a pickle now? Too bad you all are complete FODDER compared to me. LET THE SLAUGHTER RING OUT!” The Burning Blight commands, thousands of his soldiers landing on the planet and beginning to kill everything they could.
Turns out, Azalo-T wasn't going to make it. But he was content; he was happy to fight a proper battle. Now, of course, we have to see what the others are up to, shall we?
Bleeding crows
Azalo-E blitzes Scourge, palm striking and grabbing its soul to whip it to a far-off planet. Azalo-E’s form turns into various crows, the birds teleporting and reforming right behind Scourge. Azalo-E goes for another strike, Scourge countering and reducing the solar system to a cosmic mess with its counterattack. Azalo-E flies out of the dust unscathed, body-slamming into Scourge for a powerful Soul manipulation-infused barrage. Scourge dodges swiftly, throwing a counter to stagger Azalo-E before using the ten torrents. Azalo-E dodges the first two strikes, attempting to counter but failing in her defense; the third and fourth of the ten torrents hit her. Azalo-E disperses herself into crows again, making Scourge miss its fifth strike. Azalo-E reforms below Scourge, grabbing it by the legs and throwing it far back. Azalo-E chucks an exploding neutron star at Scourge, it reducing the celestial body to dust with Reality manipulation. Azalo-E uses Gravity manipulation to reform the star, trapping Scourge in the middle of it. Scourge charges its body with a large amount of mana, exploding out with the energy to reduce the star to dust yet again. Azalo-E uses telekinesis to throw all the fragments back at Scourge, forcing it to constantly dodge and reposition. Azalo-E replaces the fragments with countless clones of herself, each one rushing at once. Scourge uses the ten torrents again, dealing with every clone in mere seconds. Azalo-E dodges the strike aimed at her actual body, palm striking Scourge with a soul pact to remove its magic for 5 minutes. Scourge attempts to use defense; Azalo-E grabs it by the neck and rips him through multiple dimensions. Scourge shoves Azalo-E off itself, tearing the seal on its soul and firing a powerful beam of frost and spatial manipulation. Azalo-E conjures the sword of reality, slicing through the beam and landing a direct hit on Scourge. Both of them back up, briefly catching their breath while slowly circling each other. “I know you’re taking it easy on me. So cmon, FINISH ME!” Scourge taunts. Azalo-E opens a large portal below them, sending them to a mirror dimension of the multiverse, though with a lack of actual life. Scourge attempts to use the ten torrents; Azalo-E instantly shuts it down and hits with one punch infused with True-Sanguinair. The Cataclysmic Scourge coughs briefly, its body slowly destabilizing and exploding with all the energy of the corrupted mana fountain. Azalo-E leaves the mirror multiverse as it's destroyed, soon meeting with Azalo themself.
“What a valiant effort by you all; I must say I'm far impressed by my creations. But as stated, my time has come. Azalo-E, I want you to promise a better life for the future. Promise you will continue the legacy.” Azalo themself states upon the arrival of Azalo-E. “So this is it?” Azalo-E asks. “Very much so. I'm proud of you all. Plus, you made that deal in the first place. It's time to fulfill it. Don't let fear guide action; let it drive hope. I knew this day would surface, and I'm not mad that this is happening. I’m ready to be free.” Azalo themself says, their physical form showing any part of pride it could. Azalo-E places her palm on Azalo themself, dispersing it and finally ending a long-standing debt. But it wasn't over; Azalo-X and Werner still had their ends of the bargain to fulfill. Speaking of Azalo-X, let's see what he was up to.
An Architect
Azalo-X descends upon the planet housing the Architect, soon finding him. The Architect swings his blade down, decapitating the God of Treachery. “Well, aren't you brutal. Did you lose any selflessness while locked up in that box?” Azalo-X remarks at the sight. “Don't act clueless, fallen hero.” The Architect responds coldly. “Then why don't I pay your brutality forward?” Azalo-X says sarcastically, using his Equinox blade to teleport directly behind the Architect. Azalo-X throws a large horizontal swing, the Architect blocking it with a freshly made gamma construct. Azalo-X parries, shoving the Architect's arm aside as he goes for a strong left hook. The Architect blocks the strike, conjuring a building-sized hammer and slamming it directly where they stood. Azalo-X dodges with little time to spare, the Architect walking out of the blast with minimal damage. “Two gods finally meeting their greatest rival; our battle will truly shake the cosmos,” Azalo-X says, the Architect wondering why the fuck he decided to say that now.
Azalo-X pulls out the Fang of Gilgamesh, swings once, and reduces the galaxy around them to dust. The Architect protects himself briefly, flying at Azalo-X for a shoulder bash. Azalo-X meets the bash, pushing the Architect back briefly, then uses his Time Piercer to stop time around them. The Architect tears out the time around him, grabbing the Time Piercer and snapping it in half. “B̷o̷l̸d̴ ̷o̷f̵ ̴y̷o̷u̴ ̷t̸o̷ ̸a̵s̷s̷u̸m̵e̴ ̷s̵u̸c̸h̸ ̶p̶r̷i̸m̵i̸t̷i̷v̶e̶ ̸w̸e̵a̴p̶o̴n̸r̶y̵ ̶w̴o̶r̸k̸s̸ ̷o̸n̷ ̸m̷e̵” The Architect exclaims, side kicking Azalo-X back into a volley of magic attacks. Azalo-X uses the Equinox Downfall, teleporting him and the Architect to a more intact galaxy. The Architect shoves Azalo-X into a nearby planet, conjuring thousands of gamma weapons to follow him down. Azalo-X takes out a second Equinox blade, ripping through the volley of conjured weapons to land a clean blow on the Architect. Azalo-X twists the sword, rending a chunk of the Architect's flesh off. The Architect throws a hammer fist, sending Azalo-X away for a follow-up rushdown. Azalo-X blocks the first conjured weapon, his Equinox blade splitting in half on contact, though it still saves him. Azalo-X kicks the Architect in the stomach, hoping to stagger him briefly. The Architect tenses his stomach, slamming his fist onto Azalo-X’s neck to stun him back. The Architect conjures a large great sword, swinging at Azalo-X vertically. One of Azalo-X’s immortality stacks shatters, a typhoon of magic surrounding them and throwing the Architect far back. Azalo-X charges after the Architect, using his Fang of Gilgamesh to tear the reality around him, effectively trapping the Architect. Azalo-X goes in for a strong hooking swing with his Equinox slicer, the Architect catching the weapon and fracturing it with his grip. Azalo-X lets go of the broken handle, continuing his momentum with a powerful punch to the liver. The Architect spits out blood, catching Azalo-X’s arm as he pulls it away. The Architect drags Azalo-X through the actively splintering reality, conjuring a large mace to finish the job. Azalo-X takes out the Royal Flush, meeting the Architect's strike with it and sending them both to a different dimension. Azalo-X notices his Royal Flush was destroyed in the blast, the Architect's forearm almost completely gone. The Architect conjures himself a replacement, standing back up to stare Azalo-X down.
“Did you think I’d go down that easily?” The Architect sarcastically comments. Azalo-X doesn't respond, summoning the Fang of Gilgamesh and Equinox Downfall. The Architect conjures his own weapons, ready to counter anything Azalo-X pulls. Azalo-X acts first, teleporting in front of the Architect for a swift swing with his Fang. The Architect blocks the swipe, kneeing Azalo-X into a heavy hammer swing. Azalo-X endures the force of the swing, tearing it out of reality before countering. The Architect body-slams Azalo-X, dragging him to a nearby star. Azalo-X switches their positions, throwing the Architect into the star and forcing it to condense into a black hole with his Equinox Downfall. The black hole explodes out with the Architect's gamma energy; it seems like he really wasn't going down that easily. “Y̶O̸U̷R̵ ̸T̶R̴I̶C̵K̷S̴ ̵H̴A̷S̶ ̶N̴O̷ ̵P̷L̸A̷C̷E̶ ̵I̶N̵ ̷A̶ ̴B̶A̴T̷T̵L̶E̴,” The Architect roars out, trapping Azalo-X in a large sphere and detonating it. The energy rips through the air, destroying every planet around them as Azalo-X rushes the Architect. Azalo-X summons a train with the Fang, hitting the Architect with his strike. The Architect fires his gamma energy all around himself, driving the train and Azalo-X off. Azalo-X dodges the gamma beams, redirecting the rest with his Equinox Downfall.
“As much as I enjoy this, one of us has to end a winner. And I’ll ensure, with everything I have, that I will win. No matter what.” Azalo-X states, the Architect scoffing and firing a fully charged gamma beam. Azalo-X reduces the beam to fragments with the Fang of Gilgamesh, rushing the Architect down for a point-blank magic explosion. The Architect meets his explosion with his own, nullifying the forces but disregarding Azalo-X’s sudden scythe swing. The Architect conjures a large fist, punching Azalo-X away and disarming him of the Fang of Gilgamesh.
Azalo-X recovers quickly, knowing he has to truly make a sacrifice to win. Azalo-X teleports behind the Architect, detonating the Equinox Downfall itself, reducing the entire universe to burning scraps and dust.
The space begins to clear, Azalo-X checking himself and seeing his entire right side severely scorched. Though he knew it was what was required to win. The Architect floats nearby, his entire body reduced to a husk of his original power. Azalo-X opens a portal back to the original multiverse, lying in the middle of his farm. Then Azalo-X speaks his final words, directed to those he held hope.
“I did my part of the deal; now you do yours. Ephige, Azalo… Werner.” Azalo-X speaks softly with his last breath. He had avenged his family; he was happy with this ending.
