A hunter
Werner arrives home, brushing off the leftover dust and fragments on his body from the War of Treachery. He already knew what lay ahead for him, and Werner’s promises weren't unfulfilled. “So how would this work out? I mean, the last gods you’ve killed were a coincidence that we even found them.” Castiel questions. “Well, gods are strong, kinda. Not compared to me, but whatever. Anyway, gods leave a large footprint of shitty radiation and plasma. Track the cosmic shit stains, track the god. Then I do what the kids are here for.” Werner answers. Werner leaves the base to find CO-1, soon arriving to thoroughly instruct CO-1 and the entire Famine in creating the machine. CO-1 makes the announcement swiftly, beginning production of the machine as Werner watches over, though another question arises: what god would Werner target? Castiel enters Werner’s office, quickly presenting the question. “So what god are we targeting as our first? There’s quite a lot to go around, and some are better options.” Castiel questions. “I guess we can start small; I'm not in the mood for some galaxy-level shit. Come back when you have an idea for a god, and I'll look into it.” Werner answers, Castiel nodding briefly before leaving the room to research.
The entire Famine swiftly gets to work, various scientists using their own specialties to ensure the creation of this machine, Werner watching from afar, noting every detail he must, and receiving frequent status reports. Hours pass, soon becoming days—everything going as smoothly as intended. With the final few parts welded, the machine was finished. The only question was, what god would they chase? “Well, I guess we can go for a smaller target. Less of a god but still one, y’know.” Werner says while manning the machine, using it to search for the God of Shifting, known for governing change and shapeshifting itself. The machine loads for a few moments, scanning through many galaxies in pursuit of this god. And in a few minutes, it had found the God of Shifting. “He’ll like this birthday present… for sure,” Werner remarks sarcastically as he leaves the room to board a ship to meet this god.
A bitterful meeting
Werner lands on the planet where the God of Shifting stands, looking ahead to see the God awaiting his arrival. “Trying to sneak a god who's in contact with people who can sense the future is worthless. You should know that, Werner.” The God of Shifting states. “I don't give a fuck, and the Fraud of Foresight is next anyway.” Werner shoots back. “You must realize how useless this is, us god are reborn from your own actions.” The God of Shifting replies. “Like what? Enlighten me.” Werner asks. “You’ll have to beat it out of me. Though I'm acting as if you can.” The God of Shifting coldly answers, readying himself for a fight. “You hold your head quite high for such an inferior god.” Werner coldly replies.
Misotheism, Misanthropy
Werner rushes instantly, the Shifter quickly parrying the cleaver swing for a quick leg sweep. Werner tenses his body, disallowing himself to lose balance. “Impressive.” The Shifter mutters, getting into a handstand and shifting his lower half into a horse, kicking Werner away. Werner slams his cleaver into the ground, halting his momentum as he stares down the god. Werner jumps up, Castiel tossing him a large tungsten hammer as Werner falls straight down to slam the blunt weapon into the Shifter. The God tenses, morphing his arms and chest into a silverback gorilla to hold Werner back. Werner chucks the hammer down midair, landing nearby to fake out the Shifter. The God throws the hammer back at Werner as he lands, cutting off his plan. Werner backhands the hammer aside, throwing his cleaver like a frisbee at the Shifter. The Shifter just barely catches the cleaver, not catching Werner appearing behind him for a haymaker. The Shifter shapes two large wings onto himself, stopping his momentum and hovering in the air. Werner leaps after him, grabbing one wing and whipping him into the ground. The Shifter attempts to overpower Werner, his wing being ripped off as he falls. “This is already getting annoying.” The Shifter expresses under his breath. Werner dives straight into him, the Shifter rapidly growing his arm muscles and strength to match Werner’s punch. They both throw their jabs, Werner using a stage 1 strength burst right before impact and reducing the Shifter's arm to a chunky mist. The Shifter uses his magic to send a shockwave around him, throwing Werner far away. Werner recovers instantly, using an impact burst at his feet to propel himself back at the Shifter before he can heal. The Shifter blocks Werner’s right hook, protecting himself with a magic field to replenish his arm. ‘What the hell is this… I can barely see his attacks; is he seriously this pissed about chronos ruining his species?’ The Shifter thinks, readying himself for Werner’s next attack. Werner walks up to the magic shield, pressing his finger against it till is shatters under the pressure. The Shifter turns his arm into a long blade, slashing at Werner before getting his blade caught. Werner tears the blade off him, pinning the god to the floor and moving to punch his skull in. The God teleports behind Werner, delivering a strong liver shot, though doing little to Werner’s incredible defense. Werner hook kicks the God in the head, briefly stunning him for a clean haymaker to the face. The God slams against a nearby hill, catching his breath after being so brutally struck. Werner pins the Shifter to the ground again, starting to relentlessly stomp his body into the ground. The Shifter attempts to outlast Werner’s barrage of slams and stomps with his healing magic. Trying to find an opportunistic place to teleport, Werner soon tears him out of the rubble, lifting him up in the air by his neck. “Tell me. Now,” Werner demands. Tell... you what.” The God chokes out. “How are you gods rebirthed endlessly?” Werner answers. “I... won't.” The God replies. “So be it,” Werner says, tightening his grip around the God's neck. The God attempts to endure, trying to teleport away. Though Werner’s grip is unforgiving. “O-Okay… I'll… tell you.” The God caves, Werner partially releasing his grip.
“We’re reborn through hatred and malice. Every time war happens, or someone induces hate, the energy of everyone's experience produces an essence the gods can feast on and be reborn from.” The God answers. Werner thinks for a moment, soon coming up with the perfect question to this information. One personal, and one technical. “Was this the reason you killed off my entire species?” Werner questions coldly. “...Y-yes, your race was far too peaceful. We decided to start a conflict with you and humans to combat the recent god extinction.” The God answers. “So if I rid of hate, of malice, of life, you Gods will go extinct too?” Werner questions again. “W-What are you implying?” The God questions.
Werner takes out his universal radio, turning it on for one message for his entire cult. “All cult members are actively instructed to initiate the Nothing Protocol. After all demands have been met, all cultists are to commit suicide. It was a blessing to run this glorious crusade with you all, but all beginnings have an end.” Werner announces. Crushing the God's skull shortly after. “What now, Werner?” Castiel questions. “If they desire war, I'll bring it to every possible universe. Till everyone is gone. We’re all a catalyst for their survival, so I'll ensure no one's around to be the source. Even if it requires drastic measures. I highly appreciate you, Castiel, but our paths must split soon enough. Thank you for every second. Thank all of you.” Werner says while pocketing a picture of Azalo-G, knowing this all has only one outcome. Werner wouldn't let his promises go unfulfilled.
