Reimagined grouping
Azalo-S continues to plan and test, crafting her sub-magic type as well as a collective plan to weaken the god of treachery’s power over the universe's people. Azalo-X sharpens his weaponry in the back of the library, it being ungodly loud and bright due to the weapons' properties. “Can you not do that outside or something?” Azalo-S questions. “You don't get it.” Azalo-X remarks with a slight chuckle. “How the fuck do you even sharpen those? From what I know there made of cosmic essence and shattered reality.” Azalo-S ponders. Azalo-X shushes her, returning to sharpening his weapons. Azalo-S walks outside, testing her new technique and figuring out how to turn the fight in her favor. Azalo-S sighs, opening a portal and returning to the main cultist base. Azalo-S enters, seeing Werner lounging as he never truly does. “The hell is this? Whatever, how are you back, Werner? They said you probably won't return.” Azalo-S exclaims. “I could never die; I won't be back… Metaphorically. I guess. Y’know?” Werner rants. “Explain,” Azalo-S demands. Werner sighs, sets his beer down, and walks over to Azalo-S. “I'm done. All the fighting, murdering, skinning, and mindless death. It's over.” Werner answers coldly. “What. After all you’ve committed to, you just… Quit?” Azalo-S questions, wondering if this is Werner or some illusion brought by someone. “It's true, no illusions, no tricks, no bullshit. " I'm done,” Werner repeats. Azalo-S gives Werner a look of disbelief; she couldn't believe the most battle-hungry person she knew refused to fight any longer. “Not even a universal threat, a God even?” Azalo-S bargins. “No. I'm retired; don't make me force you out now. Just leave.” Werner warns. “Could I at least take Azalo-G, -K and -R?” Azalo-S asks. “Fine, but don't bother me any longer.” Werner hesitantly agrees. Azalo-S summons a portal back to the library, taking the 3 for the future battle. As the 3 enter the library, Azalo-S opens another portal, fetching all 4 Azalo-A’s. Azalo-S thinks about crucial assets, soon retrieving Azalo-H, -HP, -M, -Q, and finally, -T. Azalo-S looks at her newly formed group, staring for a decent bit and disregarding how empty it feels without Werner and Etho nuking shit in the back. Azalo-S suddenly remembers: Azalo-L. She opens another portal, finding where Azalo-L is resting. “Azalo-L, you're coming with me,” Azalo-S demands. “And… Why me?” Azalo-L questions. “We need a trump card, a last resort. You hold exactly what we need.” Azalo-S answers. Azalo-L follows anyway, not knowing what exactly she needs from him.
Azalo-S collects everyone into a single room, giving a plan and purpose for everyone. “Azalo-H, -HP, and -T. You three will be responsible for crowd control. Clear and split groups; prevent them from mapping plans. Azalo-M, you’ll stand farther back, noting any weaknesses you could find. Anything that they could be punished for in combat, relay it to the team. Azalo-K, -G and -R. You three, along with me, are responsible for taking out any heavy units. As well as juggernauts and commanders.” Azalo-S rants before being cut off. “So why the fuck am I here for crowd control even though I'm stronger than everyone here except -X?” Azalo-T interjects. “Because the range and area of your magic is far greater than anyone else in this room. Perfect crowd controller.” Azalo-S answers with a slight wink.
“And finally, Azalo-X. You’re in charge of killing the God of Treachery himself. Since you hold the best capability to do so, it's your job.” Azalo-S bestows alas or some shit like that. “Soooo what about us four?” Azalo-A1 interrupts. “Kill shit.” Azalo-S flatly answers. Azalo-A1 nods in agreement. Azalo-A4 backhands him off the couch as everyone else goes to personally plan and gear for the incoming battle.
Prepare, henceforth
Azalo-H warms up his fighting skills, fighting Azalo-HP over and over with padded bats until he can consistently dodge and counter easily. Every Azalo-A went to a far-off part of the land mass, wreaking pure havoc on themselves and the surroundings as they trained. Azalo-S looks into the distance where all Azalo-A’s are fighting. “The fuck is that? It looks like straight fireworks.” Azalo-S remarks, Azalo-X shrugs and walks away. Azalo-G and Azalo-K spar over and over, ending only when the other gets a limb ripped off. Azalo-L is watching nearby and healing them after every fight. Azalo-M reads through the library, finding every possible piece of information on the God of Treachery to figure out weaknesses. Azalo-R just sits atop the library, doing jack shit. Azalo-Q has encased herself in ice at the South Pole, absorbing energy to use later. And finally, Azalo-S continues to train her new sub magic type with Azalo-T coaching and fixing mistakes.
Everything seemed great, and the battle ahead seemed not far-fetched to win. Everybody was steadily reaching a collective prime to uproot the God of Treachery’s rule. As with a night's sleep and a morning sun, everyone was ready. Azalo-M locking coordinates on the God of Treachery’s next planetary crusade.
A short-lived war
Azalo-M parks his ship in high orbit above the planet currently housing the Army of Treachery, everybody equipping what weapons and armor they need before Azalo-S teleports them down. Azalo-S opens a portal below everyone except Azalo-M, -L, and -X, keeping them as an SOS. Azalo-S hops out of the portal first, surveying the surroundings as everyone else forms up. One of the Treachery's outposts soon spots them, calling a roaring war horn to alert everyone of their arrival. Azalo-G loads his chaingun, Azalo-T attempting to throw a spellhand sign only for a Treachary scout to throw a purple lock at him, the lock dissipating and absorbing into Azalo-T’s body. “Well fuck all, a magic lock. Can't use spells for 24 hours.” Azalo-T announces in disappointment. Azalo-S sighs, conjuring her own spell to put a large mana shield around them. Azalo-G and Azalo-R get back-to-back, covering both sides. Azalo-K takes out the Judge LMG crafted by Werner with Azalo-HP morphing his nanites into a large autocannon, Azalo-H piloting to cover all sides. Children of Treachary swarm from all sides, though these weren't the soldiers. They sent a large wave of animalistic cannon fodder. The 4 Azalo-A’s rush outside the shield, laying waste to the large army of mutants. Suddenly, 4 powerful knights of treachery body-slam each Azalo-A, stalling them out enough for the horde of mutants to close in on Azalo-S’s formation.
Azalo-A4 roars out, tossing both her swords and tearing her knight in half. “IT'S WERNER TIMEEE!!!” Azalo-A4 chants, her whole demeanor seeming so animalistic now. Dust and debris rip up from the floor as Azalo-A4 lays complete waste to the mutant army, tearing every little thing she can into thirds. Suddenly, a quite calm though large knight slams into Azalo-A4 through the dust, throwing one strong right hook to knock her clean out. Azalo-A1 enrages, appearing in front of the knight like light from a bulb. Azalo-A1 dropkicks the knight in the face, sending him miles away. Azalo-A2 grabs Azalo-A4, and all 4 rush back to the shield as Azalo-R covers their back with gunfire. Azalo-K looks at Azalo-G with that signature look. Perfectly communicating 'I'm going to commit unintentional suicide’. Azalo-K takes his spear and rushes out the shield, overclocking his foresight and hitting himself with an adrenaline stim. Azalo-G conjures two swords and rushes the opposite side, both of them rapidly clearing out small threats, with Azalo-R clearing out the larger threats. Suddenly, every Azalo hears one bone-chilling message from their radios: “They’re calling an orbital barrage on your location, NOW!” Azalo-M’s voice rings out, Azalo-G and Azalo-K rushing as far as they can with Azalo-S trying to teleport the rest away. Azalo-HP pulls all his nanites around Azalo-H. Azalo-A1 grabs every Azalo-A and speeds off.
The orbital barrage lands, every Azalo being tossed around by shock waves from the bombs. Every Azalo defends and retreats as well as they can, everyone taking extensive damage from the barrage. Azalo-S forces everyone to regroup, teleporting everyone back to Azalo-M’s ship. “AZALO-M, GET US OUT OF HERE.” Azalo-S commands. Azalo-M’s ship strains under its own technology, accelerating and leaving the solar system as fast as it physically can.
Every Azalo returns to the library, and all the training equipment is still there. Azalo-G whips around, staring directly at Azalo-S. “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT! YOU SAID YOU HAD THIS PLANNED. EXPLAIN!” Azalo-G roars in anger. All the Azalo variants behind her were collectively agreeing that the raid was a pure disaster. “O-okay, I didn't know they had that much firepower. But we can do it again; we can still pull this off!” Azalo-S begs. “Look around you, jackass; we all are fucked up from that. My spear is shattered; Azalo-G and Azalo-R lost their chain guns. Azalo-R lost more than half his nanites. Azalo-Q is gone, Azalo-A4 and -A2 are out of commission. Azalo-T is spell-locked. Even you-you’re injured too.” Azalo-K rants feriously. Azalo-S just stands there; she thought she had finally brought everyone back together. The old gang. “I-... I’m sorry.” Azalo-S apologizes. “No one cares. Send us home. This is hopeless.” Azalo-A1 yells out. Azalo-S complies, sending away everyone who wanted to be sent back. Now only Azalo-M, -L, -T, and -X remain with her. “I refuse to lose hope in my own student; your leadership was amazing. The timing wasn't correct. And don't worry, only one mana lock exists in the universe after the mana fountain guardian was killed.” Azalo-T reassures, helping Azalo-S up and wiping her tears.
That night, Azalo-S couldn't sleep, her mind racing with thoughts of what she could have done differently. Suddenly, Azalo-X appears in her room. “Why do you think I didn't intervene?” Azalo-X questions. “I don't know. Maybe you can tell me if you're even in on this.” Azalo-S shoots back.
“You can't control what others do, but you can influence them. When you find the correct time, you’ll know what to do.” Azalo-X says before disappearing, leaving Azalo-S to wonder what he means.
