Time?
Azalo-S wakes to the morning sun, walking out of the library to see every piece of training equipment still standing exactly where it was. Azalo-X walks out a few moments after her, leaning against the library’s wall. They both stand for a few seconds, Azalo-S thinking about what truly went wrong. “Figured it out yet?” Azalo-X questions. “I did. But I can't make sense of it.” Azalo-S answers, her tone was still depressed. Azalo-X walks beside her, taking out the Time Piercer and the fang of Gilgamesh to craft a projection of the past. Azalo-S sees exactly when everyone came back to the library. As the projection of Azalo-G prepares to speak, Azalo-X waves the Time Piercer to pause it. “Say you could go back, reverse everything and have a chance to change one thing. What would it be?” Azalo-X questions. “I can't reverse time.” Azalo-S answers. “No one said you have to; you’re missing the point.” Azalo-X shoots back. “Fine. I would’ve at least tried to inspire them.” Azalo-S half answers. Azalo-X sees through her shit answer, knowing she just wants the conversation to end. “Why do you think you're alive currently?” Azalo-X questions again. “Luck.” Azalo-S answers. “Wrong. Over half of those rounds missed you all. Why do you think that was? Y’know, for such an advanced civilisation you’d expect better aim, right? Don't worry, I’ll answer it. I saved your lives multiple times. Though not by a direct intervention, by fate.” Azalo-X rants. “What are you implying?” Azalo-S interjects.
“You’re made for this, and their lost hope won't stop you from regaining what is required,” Azalo-X answers proudly. Azalo-S stares at him briefly, knowing even after that disaster of a fight, some still stood by her side and called her a ‘leader’. Azalo-S reopens a portal to every Azalo-A, instantly having to block and dodge swords and daggers being thrown at her. “Give us good reasons we shouldn't just kill you.” Azalo-A1 demands. “Timing is the greatest defining factor; one may lose or win due to an imbalance of it. You may have lost hope in me as a leader, but I haven't lost hope in you as warriors.” Azalo-S answers. “Nice shit, you're so inspiring. What is going to guarantee we won't just die by continuing this bullshit?” Azalo-A2 questions. “Because this time around we won't be given anything specific, everyone will lay complete death upon the army, as well as Azalo-T having his magic back,” Azalo-S replies. “Since I couldn't speak last argument, I will now. I hold trust in you as a leader. Though I need confirmation that this will work this time. As said before, I can do my job as well as I can, but can you give the same effort?” Azalo-A4 asks. “I can give more.” Azalo-S bets. “Then consider our strength in your rule, though a fair warning. If this is a disaster, your head will be claimed by my sword.” Azalo-A4 bargains.
Azalo-S opens a portal back to the library, feeling accomplished. Azalo-S then sets her sights on recruiting everyone she could, even those who lost hope.
Some shit about collection
Azalo-S steps foot in front of the main cultist base for a final time, summoning a mana shield around herself. Azalo-G fires two chain gun rounds at her, Azalo-K unloading an LMG at her head. The mana shield around Azalo-S blocks every bullet. Azalo-S walks over to the entrance to talk. “Ey, get the fuck outa here before I call you some alien slur or something,” Azalo-K yells out sarcastically. “We all know I don't care; I've come for one simple thing: why don't we give this thing one last try?” Azalo-S asks. “Prove it to us then; make us help.” Azalo-G bets. “Fine then,” Azalo-S says, conjuring two ropes of mana to pull them both in. “MAGIC USING PUSSYYYY!” Azalo-K yells, cutting the rope with his spear while Azalo-G tears it off him. “Drop the guns, and I'll drop my magic.” Azalo-S bargins. Both Azalo-G and Azalo-K drop their guns and signal every cultist to stand by, Azalo-S dropping her mana shield. Azalo-S stretches briefly, getting warmed up for melee. “Been a while since I've had to use proper melee,” Azalo-S says, getting back up, as she taunts Azalo-K and -G. Azalo-K overclocks as Azalo-G conjures a long sword, both rushing directly at Azalo-S. Silva blocks the long sword slash with her left forearm, catching Azalo-K’s spear thrust and disarming him. Azalo-K uses his spear for leverage, kicking Azalo-S in the neck. Azalo-S clamps her neck down, trapping Azalo-K and hitting Azalo-G with two quick jabs. Azalo-K wraps both his legs around her neck, whipping her into the ground. Azalo-S grabs Azalo-K’s leg before he runs, throwing him into Azalo-G as he rushes. Azalo-G shoves Azalo-K aside, conjuring two short swords and swiping twice at Azalo-S. Silva parries both slashes, sweeping Azalo-G’s legs and grabbing him out of the air to throw him aside. Azalo-G breaks his momentum with the swords, throwing one at Azalo-S and rushing behind it. Azalo-S redirects the sword, kicking it out of the air back at Azalo-G. -G sidesteps to dodge the sword, throwing a long horizontal slash. Azalo-S ducks under, disarming Azalo-G in less than a second. Azalo-G throws a strange haymaker, distracting Azalo-S for a quick left hook. Azalo-S backs up briefly, throwing dirt in front of her to mask the rush down. Azalo-G conjures a large greatsword for a strong horizontal slash, Azalo-S already behind him. Silva knees him in the back, grabs his shoulders, and body-slams Azalo-G into the floor. Azalo-K finishes sharpening his spear, rushing directly at Azalo-S with -G out of the fight. Silva kicks up a large cloud of dust, completely countering Azalo-K’s foresight. Azalo-S grabs Azalo-K by the legs, slamming him into the floor multiple times before throwing him up for a drop kick. Azalo-K lands on the mountain, holding a thumbs-up to signal hes done. “Well, honestly, I wasn't expecting that outa you. But you earned it; we’ll fight under you again.” Azalo-G informs; Azalo-S summons a portal back to the library. Azalo-R is coming in the last second after modifications from Werner, entering the library with them.
Azalo-X notes her rapid growth, nudging Azalo-T on the shoulder with a grin. Azalo-S travels to the South Pole, breaking the ice casing around Azalo-Q. “You ready? We got a few hours left.” Azalo-S asks softly. Azalo-Q nods, flying over to the library. Azalo-S opens one last portal, stepping foot in Azalo-F’s temple. “Have a sacrifice to give? I don't participate in universal wars for free anymore.” Azalo-F says. Azalo-S tosses him a dead squid, Azalo-F’s eyes widening slightly. “Thats a hefty price; I'll help.” Azalo-F endorces.
Azalo-S returns to the library, watching everyone go back to training. She knew Azalo-F could teleport himself anyway. The library is finally looking alive, and everyone who once lost hope has finally united once again. All Azalo-S has to do now is have the necessary timing. Though she just had to try something one last time. Silva opens a portal coated in reality manipulation, landing back at Spiculum Terra. Silva knocks on Etho’s door one last time, hoping he might have a change of mind. “I told you, I'm not fighting anymore.” Silva hears Etho’s voice ring out through the door, his tone already annoyed. “And why not? You’re Etho; you can come up with tech for anything.” Silva debates. “I'm not going on a suicide mission. I have life to give to.” Etho restates. Silva can't argue with his reasoning, going back through the portal she came through. Azalo-S knew what she had, needed to work, or there would be no third chance.
Though she was confident. Azalo-S knew she would win, no matter what.
