Have you been pondering how to incorporate photography into your art program? Have you been giving all the hearts to those Instagram Origami (Explosion) Book posts? Love the idea of Cyanotypes (Sun Prints), but have no idea how to display them? Then this is the mixed media workshop for you! Come create gel medium transfers straight from your printer, create cyanotype photograms out in the Arizona sun, then learn how to work these techniques together into a beautiful origami book. All materials included, but feel free to bring additional personal mixed media ephemera. ****If you would like to email any photos to be printed for you to use for image transfers, please send no more than 2 full pages by May 20, 2019 to firstname.lastname@example.org
Discover a fun and exciting way to engage your students through the art of puppetry. We will explore through the ages different ways to incorporate puppets into a variety of lessons. The art of puppetry keeps your students active using art as a form of play and is perfect for stations and movement throughout your classroom. Connections to literature, history and science, and prehistoric art, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Native American cultures, fairytales, and artists will be made. Introduce the elements of art in engaging ways. This class will feature puppet making with collage, recycled materials, gelli prints, paint and a variety of art media. We will touch on set design in your classroom and script silent narratives, collaborative directory and manipulation of puppets. Participants will create individual puppets and engage in a presentation. Please come join in the fun and leave with your first few weeks of class planned. Lunch Provided.
