Before & After Care

6:00-7:00 (Morning Care)

For safety reasons all scholars should MUST be signed in by a parent or caregiver in person. 

Scholars will meet in the gym and have rotating quiet activities (large blocks, cutting and gluing, legos, board games, book bins, toy bins, etc.) Scholars will be supervised by one staff member and dismissed to homerooms.

4:15-6:15 (After Care)

Daily Schedule: 

Scholars will be dismissed to the gym by their homeroom teachers at 4:00. 

Scholars will line up at the designated entrance to be signed in. 

Once scholars have been signed in to aftercare a staff member, scholars may choose to go to the snack table(s) and eat their snack from home or an activity table(s) where they will be supervised by a staff member.

Scholars will remain at tables until approximately 4:30. At approximately 4:30 scholars will clean up from snacks and activities, and will have the choice to play with toys or games, do a craft or an (indoor/outdoor) active game until approximately 5:45.

At approximately 5:45, scholars will clean up the activites and gather their belongings and prepare for pickup. 

Staff to student ratio will be approx 1:10.

Payment Procedures:

Pre-Pay Punch Card: $45 Pre-pay for 9 hours of care and get a 10th hour for free. No expiration date. 

Pay as You Go: Pay at pick-up/drop off using Venmo or Zelle or cash. Payment must be received at the end of each day or scholars will not be permitted to use the aftercare services in the future.

$5 per hour, per child, no pro-rating. (Any time of 10 min.+ will incur a full 1 hour charge)

Late Pickup: Scholars not picked up by 6:15 will incur a $1/minute fee for each child until signed out. If you will be late please contact your campus phone number to let the staff member know the time of expected arrival.

*No Pre-Registration Necessary. We are a drop-in program, not a licensed child care facility.

Discipline Procedures:

Aftercare Staff will use similar classroom management procedures used in all Odyssey classrooms such as love and logic and responsive classroom to ensure that all scholars feel safe and have an enjoyable experience at our program. If a scholar is having a difficult time following the daily procedures or behavior expectations our staff will utilize things like redirection, self reflection, take a break etc. If these discipline measures are not effective and the scholar continues to struggle emotionally or behaviorally, parent/caregivers will be contacted and further steps will be taken to ensure the safety and success of all children attending the aftercare program.
