Dr. Ayyanna Habal, currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad, earned his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay. He completed his Master’s degree in Highway Engineering from Bangalore University, Karnataka, and his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from PDA College of Engineering, Karnataka. After his Master’s degree, he started his career in research as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at one of India’s premier Institute, IISc Bangalore. After working at IISc Bangalore, he joined for Ph.D. program at IIT Bombay under the MHRD fellowship. After completing Ph.D., Dr. Habal worked as Research Associate at IIT Bombay and then worked as Assistant Professor at PDEU Gandhinagar before joining IITRAM.
He is a recipient of Prof. Justo Gold Medal for outstanding performance in the Master of Highway Engineering. He has excellent research and consultancy experience. He was associated with many research and consultancy projects in pavement and geotechnical engineering for various government and private consultancy projects during his Master’s and Ph.D. programs.
Also, he delivered more than 30 invited talks and webinars for FDPs and STTPs for various institutes in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Odisha, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.
Apart from having exposure to field and consultancy projects, He participated and presented research papers at National and International conferences. Also, he published more than 17 research articles in reputed journals. Currently, he is an Associate Member of Pavements and materials Technical Committee of Transportation Research Group (TRG), India, and Life member of IRC, IEI, and TRG.
