Pitta pradhan vyadhi
Characteristics-
- Fever running beyond 21 days
- Mild to moderate fever
- Enlargement of PlIha (spleen)
- Dullness of Jatharagni
TRETMENT
Threapeutic Measures Indicated-
- In take of paya (milk) is especially indicated because of its 'tarpana' attributes, suitable drug (according to désa in volvement), should be added to milk in the following order-Medicinal powder (herbal) 20 gms added to 160 gms milk + 640 gms watersubjected to péka, till milk remains.
It should be filtered and given to patient.
- "Basti" should be done (anuvésana type)
- If doshis are in pakvésayaNiruvaha vasti is suitable.
- Ghrth (ghee) prayoga with suitable drug is good, as it nourishes the deranged, weakend body tissues (Pippalyédi ghrth etc.)
- Abhyanga with medicated oils, like lékshz‘idi taila, Chandanédi taila or Chandana balélz‘tkshzidi taila are recommended.
- Nasya in case, if there is tandra etc.
- Virechana (purgation), Vamana (emesis) should be avoided as patients are very weak in chronic fevers.

Prescriptions Rx
(1) Svarna basanta milini 125 mg
Pravala/mukta pisti 300 mg
Guduchi satva 1000 mg
Sitophaladi curna 2000 mg
all should be combined and given with anupana of honey as single dose, twice a day,Followed by 30 ml of Amritérista with equal quantity of Luke warm water.
(2) Chausata prahari pippali 1 gram with honey twice a day
(3) Putapakva Vishama Jvaréintaka Loha 100 mg
Shrngibhasma 500 mg ] Twice a day, should be given with honey for (15) days.
(4) In case Yakrt, pliha are enlarged. '
(a) Yakrt plihari loha 120 mg '
Loknatha rasa ' 120 mg
Mukta shukti 100 mg
Sharapunkha kshéra' 300 mg
all mixed should be given as single dose with honey twice a day, followed by
Kumaryasavam 20 ml + 20 ml Lukewarm water.
(b) Aarogyavardini 250 mg Tab at bed time daily. If 'shotha' (swelling overbody) is
there. Punarnavédi mandura 250 mg Tab, should be added to above
prescription.
(5) If there is severe feverJayamangalaras 250 mg with honey four times a day should
be prescribed.
(6) All others measures indicated in general measures also should be followed, nutritive diet is most important.

(there is no need of anuvasan / SOS chandanadi taila basti)

Nishoth-20gm + ghrita 20ml give orally
