There are many ear problems, including :

Ear infections: A common illness of ears can be caused by viruses or bacteria. Symptoms include hearing loss, muffled hearing and a feeling of fullness in the ear.

Tinnitus: A ringing, roaring or buzzing in the ears.

Earwax buildup: Too much earwax can cause itching, ringing, drainage and smelly ears.

Otorrhea: The medical term for ear drainage. It can happen as a result of trauma or an ear infection, such as otitis media or swimmer's ear.
