hi! i’m ela, a rising sophomore at istanbul social sciences high school.
i mostly just follow questions that won’t leave me alone—neuropsychology being an acknowledged member of that society(especially maladaptive daydreaming, metacognition, and well-being). when something feels important, i don’t just read about it, i build around it.
i founded mindscope, turkey’s first student neuropsychology journal, to make the field in turkey more accessible because i saw how we could close that gap with the interest of youth. it’s grown into a team of 90+ people, 700k+ interactions, and actual presence in school libraries—which is still a little surreal.
i do research, science communication, and a lot of system-building. i’m especially interested in closing the gap between what research says and what people actually understand.
outside of that: big on conversations, ballet (self-taught to RAD vocational track), and spotting patterns everywhere—especially 78 cards called the rider-waite-smith deck. allergic to cats, unfortunately, in a city full of them.
long term, i want to build better science communication systems and work on corporate well-being and publishing—basically scaling clarity and impact.
