Ayooluwa Adewole

Welcome to my website. 

I am an Infrastructure Economist with the International Finance Corporation -World Bank Group. 

Previously, I was a 2021 Africa and African Diaspora Fellow at World Bank South Asia Energy Team and a 2020 African fellow at the International Finance Corporation. I have also worked at the WBG Independent Evaluation Group. I have also worked as a researcher at the Energy Institute, University College London and the MacArthur Foundation Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law, University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

I hold a Ph.D. in Energy Economics and Policy from the Energy Institute, University College London, where my research focused on solar energy preferences and peer-to-peer energy trading in Nigeria.

Prior to my Ph.D., I had my first degree in Economics from Redeemer’s University, Nigeria in 2012 and obtained my M.Sc. in Energy Economics and Policy (with Distinction) from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom in 2015. 

My research interests are; infrastructure economics, energy policy, renewable energy, and peer-to-peer energy trading.

My extra-curricular interests include football (or soccer), playing the piano, acoustic guitar and cycling.
