Working in cooperation with The Family Central and five other local churches, Aylmer Baptist Church prepares and serves a monthly free community meal on the Saturday before the second Sunday of each month from 5-6 p.m. We serve between 25-35 diners each month and prepare about 10-20 take-out meals as well. Come out to one of the community meals and learn more about how you can participate in this ministry which not only provides food but a sense of community as well.
The Snack Program ministry team gathers each Monday morning (9:30-10:30 a.m.) to prepare snacks for the children of McGregor Public School, Aylmer. Occassionally we also provide special meals/snacks to students/staff.
Each year, Aylmer Baptist Church holds two month-long food drives for the Aylmer Corner Cupboard Food Bank. Our food drive in December is in collaboration with the Aylmer Ministerial. Our May food drive usually focuses on a couple of specific items. In May 2024 we focused on Kraft Dinner boxes. In May 2025 we focused on Peanut Butter jars and Juice boxes.
Each Year, on the last Sunday in Novemeber (3 p.m.) Aylmer Baptist Church hosts an Angel Tree Service in collaboration with Mapleton Church of Christ (Disciples). This annual service provides those who are grieving an opportunity to gather prior to the Advent/Christmas season which can be difficult for those who are mourning. The service is short but meaningful and has proved to be comforting for those who gather.
Our pastor leads a monthly worship service at the local Aylmer AgeCare Long-Term Care Residence.
Each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., the Aylmer Baptist Church Worship Service is rebroadcasted on our local Eastlink Cable Network on channel 10. While Eastlink rebroadcasts the prior week's service, you can also watch a live-stream of our Sunday Worship service on YouTube (10:00 a.m.).
