If you want a versatile bedside charging hub that replaces multiple gadgets with a sleek wood-grain design and dual alarms, choose AYI 3in1; if you need true open-ear wireless earbuds for office focus or active workouts without blocking ambient sound, choose ROEL-PLAY Open Ear Clip. These two devices serve entirely different purposes in your daily life, yet both aim to solve the clutter and discomfort issues of modern tech. The AYI unit is a stationary power station designed to organize your nightstand, while the ROEL-PLAY clip is a wearable audio solution built for mobility and awareness. Understanding this fundamental split is the first step in deciding which product belongs on your desk versus in your pocket.
• AYI 3in1: Its greatest strength is consolidating three essential items—a fast wireless charger, a large digital clock, and a dimmable night light—into one space-saving unit with premium wood grain aesthetics. The trade-off is that it is strictly a stationary device for indoor use, offering no portability or audio playback capabilities. This pick is perfect for anyone looking to declutter their bedroom nightstand or office desk.
• ROEL-PLAY Open Ear Clip: Its biggest advantage is the innovative open-ear design that keeps your ears free for ambient awareness while delivering directional sound, making it ideal for running, driving, or staying alert in an office setting. The trade-off is that it is solely an audio device with no charging, clock, or lighting functions. This pick is best for commuters, athletes, or professionals who need to stay connected to their surroundings while listening to music or calls.
The AYI 3in1 Wireless Charging Station is engineered for the person who values order and efficiency above all else, particularly in their personal living spaces or a home office setup. It tackles the common problem of cable clutter by combining a 15W fast wireless charger, a digital alarm clock, and a touch-controlled night light into a single rectangular unit. Instead of juggling a separate phone charger, a bulky plastic alarm clock, and a small plug-in lamp, you simply place your compatible phone and earbuds on the designated pads and tap the sensor for light. The large HD display ensures you can read the time clearly from across the room, while the dual alarm feature allows you to set independent schedules for weekdays and weekends or even share the space with a partner.
This device shines in environments where silence and organization are key. The inclusion of a 3-level dimmable LED night light means you can create the perfect ambiance for bedtime reading or a gentle guide for midnight bathroom trips without fumbling for switches. The smart touch control adjusts brightness instantly, ranging from a soft glow to a brighter setting. Furthermore, the construction features a premium wood grain finish that elevates the look of any bedside table, moving away from the cold, utilitarian feel of standard plastic electronics. With built-in protection against overcharging, over-current, and short circuits, it offers peace of mind for overnight charging sessions.

However, the AYI 3in1 is not suitable for everyone. If you are looking for a portable device to take with you on the go, this unit will not work, as it requires a stable electrical input and is designed specifically for tabletop mounting. It is also not an audio device; it cannot play music or handle calls. You should skip this product if your primary need is high-fidelity sound isolation or if you frequently travel and need a compact charging solution that fits in a bag. It is strictly a home or fixed-desk accessory for those who want to streamline their static environment.
The ROEL-PLAY Open Ear Clip targets users who prioritize safety, comfort, and situational awareness during their daily activities. Designed with a suspension fit ear clip structure, these headphones utilize stretchable high-elastic material to adapt to various ear shapes without causing pressure points. Weighing only 6g per ear, they offer a lightweight experience that avoids the swelling pain often associated with traditional in-ear buds after long periods of wear. The open-ear design is crucial for those who need to remain aware of their surroundings, whether they are commuting on a busy street, working out in a gym, or sitting in an open-plan office.
For the professional seeking comfortable headphones for office use, these clips provide a unique solution. They allow you to listen to conference calls, podcasts, or background music without isolating yourself from colleagues or missing important environmental cues. The directional sound transmission technology intelligently adjusts the propagation angle to concentrate sound waves toward the ear canal, significantly reducing sound leakage so you don't disturb others nearby. Despite the open design, the optimized acoustic cavity delivers balanced treble, midrange, and bass for authentic studio-quality sound. The Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity ensures a stable link with low latency, making them equally capable for mobile gaming or watching videos without audio lag.
Battery anxiety is another hurdle these earbuds clear effectively. A single charge provides six hours of continuous playback, and when paired with the charging case featuring an HD mirror LED digital display, the total battery life extends up to 72 hours. This means you can go days without hunting for a charger, with the case showing real-time power levels. However, because they are open-ear, they do not offer active noise cancellation in the traditional sense; they rely on the physical openness to let outside sounds in rather than blocking them out. If you require complete silence in a noisy environment, these might not be the right choice, but for maintaining connection with the world, they are unmatched.
• Best for multi-device organization → AYI 3in1: If your goal is to replace a charger, clock, and lamp with one cohesive unit on your desk, the AYI is the clear winner.
• Best for situational awareness → ROEL-PLAY Open Ear Clip: If you need to hear traffic, coworkers, or gym announcements while listening to audio, the open-ear design of the ROEL-PLAY is superior.

• Best for active lifestyles → ROEL-PLAY Open Ear Clip: The secure clip-on fit and sweat-resistant design make it ideal for running, cycling, and intense workouts.
• Best for dual-alarm functionality → AYI 3in1: Only the AYI model offers the ability to set two independent alarms for different schedules.
• Best for extended battery life → ROEL-PLAY Open Ear Clip: With a combined 72-hour playback window, these earbuds last significantly longer between charges than most standalone accessories.
• Best for visual clarity → AYI 3in1: The extra-large HD display and adjustable brightness levels provide better visibility for time-telling than any screen on the earbuds.
• Best for hands-free communication → ROEL-PLAY Open Ear Clip: The open design facilitates natural conversation without removing the device, making it excellent for touch control open ear headphones for office scenarios where quick interactions are frequent.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the AYI 3in1 if my priority was organizing my bedroom or creating a clean, functional desk setup for remote work. Its ability to merge three distinct utilities into one elegant piece of furniture is a genuine quality-of-life improvement that reduces clutter and simplifies my morning routine. However, if I were looking for true wireless earbuds for office use that allowed me to stay engaged with my environment while enjoying audio, the ROEL-PLAY Open Ear Clip would be my choice. Ultimately, for a dedicated office environment where focus and interaction are balanced, the ROEL-PLAY offers the specific utility needed for a modern worker, whereas the AYI serves as a foundational home or office organizer.
