New Ryzen processors are on the way- here's what to expect
The Ryzen 5 9600X3D has already been confirmed to launch a few days ago in a compatibility list for a Radeon Pro AI graphics driver. There is also a new rumoured Ryzen processors. The first one is the Ryzen 7 9700F, expected to be an affordable 8-core Zen 5 processor for desktops. It will likely have a 65W TDP, and lower clock speeds than a Ryzen 7 9700X, however there are rumours that it will have an unlocked multiplier like the 9700X. It is expected to retail around (GBP) £250-£300. A Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme for handheld PCs has been unveiled, with 3 Zen 5 cores and 5 Zen 5c cores, a Radeon 880M iGPU, and an NPU that can deliver 50 TOPS of AI performance, achieving Microsoft's Copilot+ standard. There will also be a Ryzen Z2 A, with 4 Zen 2 cores and 8 threads, and an unusual spec 8 CU RDNA 2 iGPU, placing it between the Radeon 660M and Radeon 680M. AMD claims that this CPU will have the best battery life. The Ryzen Z2 in the picture to the right is just a rebadged Ryzen Z1 Extreme with the same specs. (8C/16T, Zen 4, 3.3-5.1 GHz, Radeon 780M)
