From an early age, Ayden showed a strong commitment to education. He attended Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, WA, where he studied for 4 years and earned a spot on the honor roll throughout his high school career. He graduated from the respected local high school in 2020, having received a well-rounded education that included academics, volunteer work, athletics, and extracurricular activities.
During his time there, he regularly volunteered in the community and participated in various school activities and sports. He also developed skills in several Microsoft programs, knowledge that continued to support his academic work in college. In addition to his classroom achievements, he demonstrated strong athletic ability and earned all-state recognition multiple times.
After graduating from Eastside Catholic High School in 2020, Ayden Hector Stanford chose to continue his academic journey by enrolling at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. His appreciation for outdoor activities and the mountain environment made the university an appealing choice.
Since beginning his studies there, he has remained focused on his education while enjoying the local community and the surrounding mountain landscapes. He has continued to perform well academically as a business major and has remained on track to graduate early in December 2023. His commitment to academic excellence has remained a key part of his college experience.
Along with his academic accomplishments, Hector has continued to achieve success in football. As a member of the Colorado State Rams football team, he has been able to pursue the sport he has enjoyed since childhood. Playing as a defensive back, he quickly made an impact and earned all-conference honors despite appearing in only 7 games.
During the 2022 season, he became one of the team's leading contributors on defense. Throughout the year, he recorded 24 tackles and three interceptions, helping strengthen the Rams' defense.
One of his standout performances took place on October 7, 2022. In that game, he recorded 8 tackles, secured an interception, and returned an interception for a touchdown. With three years of eligibility remaining at Colorado State, he looked ahead to the 2023 season with enthusiasm and a desire to continue contributing to the growth of the football program.
While achieving success in academics and athletics, Ayden Hector WSU has consistently dedicated time to helping others. Throughout all 4 years of high school at Eastside Catholic in Washington, he operated an organization called B.Box. Through this effort, he delivered birthday boxes each month to homeless shelters for teens, bringing support and encouragement to young people in need.
His involvement with B.Box has continued beyond high school. Today, he still delivers B.Boxes and has partnered with the on-campus food pantry at Colorado State University to make monthly deliveries.
Community service has remained an important part of his life. Over the years, he has volunteered with several organizations that support individuals and families in meaningful ways. One organization he particularly enjoyed working with was Pick 6, which teaches children how to play flag football while promoting leadership skills, healthy habits, and self-confidence.
Ayden has also volunteered with Relay for Life, an organization dedicated to raising funds for cancer-related causes. In addition, he has supported individuals experiencing homelessness through the Tent City organization, which directly assists people facing housing challenges.
His dedication to community service has earned recognition over the years. The All-American Bowl selected him as a nominee for the “Man of the Year” award. This honor is presented to a limited number of individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities. He received the nomination for his ongoing efforts to assist struggling and homeless young people through B. Box and his broader commitment to community support.
Although Hector's schedule includes academics, athletics, and volunteer work, he still makes time for personal interests and recreation. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking part in outdoor activities year-round.
During the winter months, he enjoys skiing, while summer often brings opportunities to visit local lakes for water skiing. Staying active is also important to him, and he enjoys playing basketball whenever possible.
These activities provide balance to his busy lifestyle and allow him to maintain strong relationships while pursuing interests beyond school and football.
