RER Zero presents a unique and distinctive narrative within the Red Eyes Remain universe, taking place during the final night of the first installment. Unlike traditional games, it contains no executable (.exe) file; instead, players must explore folders, alter file formats (such as converting an image into a video), and uncover hidden codes, passwords, and secrets that are not usually accessible.

Only after completing Chapter Two and then finishing the main game will players fully understand the story of Zero, gaining deeper insight and even preparing for the events of the sequel, Red Eyes Remain 2.

RER Zero delivers a challenging and unconventional experience — a blend of exploration, analysis, and discovery that redefines what it means to play for fans of the series.
