If you want a camera-equipped helmet intercom for calls and ride recording, choose Avutrel Motorcycle Helmet Intercom; if you need a simpler helmet headset with two-phone connectivity, choose Deersights Motorcycle Helmet. The Avutrel pairs hands-free calling with a rotating camera, while Deersights focuses on audio, calls, and everyday controls. For a rider who wants one device to handle calls and capture video, I’d lean Avutrel.
Avutrel Motorcycle Helmet Intercom vs Deersights Motorcycle Helmet at a Glance
• Deersights’ biggest strength: straightforward helmet audio with hands-free calls, navigation, and connections to two smartphones at once. Trade-off: it has no listed camera or two-way intercom range.
• Choose Avutrel if recording rides and communicating with another rider are central to your setup.
• Choose Deersights if you want a headset focused on calls, music, and GPS directions, especially when you use two phones.
• For calls specifically, both list automatic answering and noise-reduction features; their other features are what separate them.
Avutrel is for the rider who wants more than helmet speakers. Its camera records 1080P video through a 120-degree wide lens, and the camera rotates 360 degrees to help position the view. The product information also describes one-button recording and an app for viewing and sharing videos, with USB or memory-card options for transferring files. That combination suits someone who wants a record of a commute or a longer ride without carrying a separate camera.
Calls are another part of the package. Avutrel supports hands-free calling, automatic call answering, and voice-assistant activation for Siri or Google Assistant. It also lists two-way intercom communication with a range of up to 800 meters. For a rider who regularly rides with one other person, that intercom function may matter more than a headset built solely around phone audio. CVC noise reduction and 40mm speakers are specified for calls and music, while IPX6 water protection is intended for wet-weather use.
There are practical limits to weigh. The listed battery supports up to 6.5 hours of video recording or 50 hours of music playback, so those figures describe different activities rather than one combined runtime. Video files default to five-minute segments, and cyclic recording can overwrite older files when the TF card fills. Bluetooth must remain enabled during recording, but Bluetooth music and intercom audio are disabled while video is being recorded; the video files do not include that Bluetooth audio. That makes Avutrel less suited to someone who expects one continuous recording with music or intercom audio embedded.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.

Deersights is a more focused choice for riders who want helmet audio for calls, music, and GPS navigation. Its 40mm speakers are paired with a sound-decoding chip, and DSP and CVC noise cancellation are listed to help reduce wind and road noise during calls. Those features make it a practical match for someone who wants to hear directions or handle a call without adding a camera system to the setup.
The headset supports automatic call answering, picking up after 10 seconds, and a button press can activate Siri or Google Assistant. It can also connect to two smartphones at the same time, a useful distinction for someone who carries a personal phone and a work phone or switches between two devices. Large buttons are intended to be manageable with riding gloves. The 1000mAh battery is listed for more than 25 hours of music and talk time, with low-power alerts and a power-saving mode also included.
Its helmet fit is described for full-face, modular, and open-face helmets. Installation options include a boom microphone, clamp mount, and adhesive mount, and its IPX6 protection is designed to help guard against rain and splashes. The trade-off is a narrower feature set than Avutrel: Deersights does not list a built-in camera or two-way intercom range. If recording rides or communicating directly with another rider through an intercom is a priority, those omissions may be decisive.
Who should skip it: Skip Deersights if you specifically want a helmet camera or a stated rider-to-rider intercom range.
• Best for calls plus ride recording → Avutrel Motorcycle Helmet Intercom. It combines hands-free calls with a 1080P camera, though recording disables Bluetooth music and intercom audio.
• Best for a simpler audio-focused setup → Deersights Motorcycle Helmet. Its listed functions center on calls, music, navigation, and voice-assistant access.
• Best for two-phone connectivity → Deersights Motorcycle Helmet. It can connect to two smartphones at once and switch between them.
• Best for rider-to-rider communication → Avutrel Motorcycle Helmet Intercom. It specifies two-way intercom communication up to 800 meters.
• Best for video framing flexibility → Avutrel Motorcycle Helmet Intercom. Its camera has a 120-degree lens and rotates 360 degrees for angle adjustment.
• Best for a stated music-and-talk battery figure → Deersights Motorcycle Helmet. It lists more than 25 hours of music and talk time; Avutrel lists up to 50 hours of music playback, but not the same combined usage figure.
• Best for glove-friendly controls → Deersights Motorcycle Helmet. Its large buttons are specifically described as usable with riding gloves.
• Best for calls with a voice assistant → Either, with different strengths. Both support Siri or Google Assistant; Deersights also specifies auto-answer after 10 seconds, while Avutrel combines automatic answering with its camera and intercom functions.
Before choosing, decide whether your main goal is communication or documentation. If you want to capture the view from a ride, Avutrel is the only one of these two with a listed camera. Its rotating camera and wide lens provide positioning flexibility, but recording changes how the device handles Bluetooth audio: music and intercom are disabled during video capture. If you expect to listen and record at the same time, that limitation deserves careful attention.
If the main task is a phone call while riding, both products list hands-free calling, automatic answering, and noise-reduction technology. Avutrel describes CVC noise reduction and 40mm speakers; Deersights lists both DSP and CVC noise cancellation with 40mm speakers. Those specifications suggest each is designed with calls in mind, but they do not establish that one will sound better in every helmet or riding situation. A buyer searching for the best Bluetooth headset for calls should consider the broader feature set and fit, not just the noise-control labels.
Helmet fit and control preferences matter, too. Deersights specifies full-face, modular, and open-face helmet compatibility, along with a boom microphone and two mounting options. Avutrel describes a universal-fit helmet installation and secure camera mounting, but the available product details do not provide the same list of helmet types. Neither sheet gives a measurement for speaker placement or helmet interior space, so check your helmet’s layout before deciding how the components will sit.
The search for the best open ear headphones for calls or rotatable ear cups on ear headphones for calls may lead to general-purpose headsets, but these products are helmet-mounted motorcycle systems. Their listed features are built around riding: voice assistants, helmet installation, weather protection, and controls accessible during a ride. Deersights lists over-ear placement, while Avutrel lists in-ear placement; neither is presented as a conventional open-ear headset. Treat those distinctions as design information, not a guarantee of comfort with every helmet.
Finally, consider how you will use the battery. Avutrel’s figures differ by activity: up to 6.5 hours of video recording or 50 hours of music playback. Deersights lists more than 25 hours of music and talk time, plus power-saving mode and low-power alerts. Those are not directly interchangeable measurements, so choose based on whether recording, music, or calls will dominate your ride.
In my opinion, I’d buy the Avutrel Motorcycle Helmet Intercom for calls if I also wanted ride video and two-way intercom in the same system. Its camera, 360-degree adjustment, and stated intercom range give it a broader role than a call-only headset. I would choose Deersights instead if two-phone connectivity, glove-friendly buttons, and a more audio-focused setup mattered more than recording. For calls paired with documentation, Avutrel is my pick.
