Job Title: General Laborer / Service Truck Driver

Description: Looking for a qualified team member to join our team to assist with septic tank cleaning, install/repair of septic systems, and drive service truck with or without equipment trailer. Service truck is a commercial vehicle and requires a valid / current Medical DOT card. Manual labor is the majority of job tasks and responsibilities. 

This can be an entry-level position for the right team member or a top-paying position for a qualified, experienced team member

Job Location:  Pasadena, MD

Salary/Hourly Rate: $18.00 to $30.00 per hour (based on experience), with opportunities for overtime.

Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time position - Monday thru Friday Dayshift hours. Hours per day/week vary to accommodate customer requirements. Some overtime hours and weekend hours may be available/expected.

NOTICE:  

Expect to get dirty in this job. Our Septic Service Team members work in the immediate vicinity of septic systems every day – often handling components and tools which have been covered with waste material and/or wastewater. 

Expect to perform manual labor. Including but not limited to the following examples: Probing the ground to identify the location of buried septic tanks/pipes/components; Digging and back-filling with a shovel and other tools to locate components and access the septic tank/system - access lids in the top of the septic tank; Lifting and removing access septic tank access lids; Loading/Unloading tools/supplies and connecting hoses from septic pump truck to septic tank; running & laying pipe and assembling fittings in dirt, in/around waste material and/or wastewater. Manual labor job tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Reliable & Trustworthy individual who can display professionalism, dependability, strength/endurance, and a good attitude in outdoor working conditions.

• Valid / current Driver's License with clean driving record required

• Valid / current Medical DOT card required

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Must be willing and able to follow directions and perform tasks assigned

• Must be willing to work overtime on busy weeks to include evenings and weekends

• Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions.

• Must be willing and able to carry out physical activities like hand digging and maneuvering large hoses

• Must be willing and able to lift 50 - 100 pounds/heavy objects (eg.- concrete septic tank lids) without overexerting yourself

• Experience with various hand & power tools

• Drive safely to job locations, maneuver and back truck / truck & trailer into yards/driveways 

• Prior septic experience (septic tank cleaning, laying pipe, and assembling fittings) is preferred - willing to educate and train the right motivated individual

• Experience driving service truck (commercial vehicle) with and without equipment trailer - maneuvering truck and trailer in neighborhoods, backing up with trailer

• Experience operating heavy equipment to include backhoe, mini excavator, and skid steer - would be a plus - willing to educate and train the right motivated individual

• Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with team members and customers
