AVPCompress Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 21, 2026
AVPCompress is provided by Keyur Rakholiya ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the AVPCompress mobile application and contact us for support.
Privacy contact: support@avpcompress.com
1. What AVPCompress does
AVPCompress helps you compress audio, photos, videos, and PDF files on your device. You can select individual files or batches, choose available compression settings, preview supported files, review results, retain results in History, and save or share copies. Available formats and settings depend on your device, operating system, and the selected file.
You do not need an account. Compression takes place on your device and does not require uploading your files to our servers. We do not operate a cloud storage or remote compression service for your files.
2. Files and information processed on your device
When you select a file, AVPCompress accesses the selected content and information needed to inspect, process, display, and export it. This can include:
- File contents, names, types, sizes, and local file references.
- Image dimensions, orientation, color information, and embedded metadata.
- Audio and video duration, codecs, bitrates, tracks, and playback information.
- PDF page information, document structure, and embedded content needed for compression.
- Your selected compression settings, processing status, results, errors, and savings estimates.
The app creates working copies and previews in app-managed storage. It creates separate compressed outputs rather than intentionally changing your selected original files.
We do not receive your selected files, file contents, names, local paths, previews, document text, or compression History through the app's compression features. These are not supplied to advertising services by AVPCompress.
3. Local History, preferences, and diagnostics
AVPCompress stores compressed results and related History information on your device so you can return to them. History may include file names and characteristics, settings, processing dates, outcomes, output details, and save/share outcomes. The app may keep local recovery information, including a previous version of History metadata, to help recover from storage errors.
The app also stores preferences such as your appearance choice. It checks available device storage to support processing and storage management. When advertising is enabled, local advertising records may store consent choices and ad frequency information.
Development and quality assurance builds may record technical information locally, such as launch and operation timings, memory use, frame performance, screen identifiers, and aggregate History counts. These diagnostic records are not automatically uploaded to us. We do not integrate a separate remote analytics or crash-reporting service into the current app. Operating systems and app stores may independently handle diagnostics under their own settings and policies.
4. File metadata
Selected files may contain personal information, such as location tags, dates, author details, or information visible or audible in the content itself. Compression is not a general anonymization or redaction service.
Where supported, image settings let you preserve metadata, remove location metadata, or remove descriptive metadata. Available options and preservation behavior depend on the file and output format. Do not assume that compression removes all personal information. Review the output and its metadata before sharing sensitive files.
5. Permissions and system services
AVPCompress uses system photo and document pickers to access items you choose. The current app does not request broad access to your entire photo library or storage, or access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise device location for compression. Embedded location data in a selected file is different from permission to obtain your current device location.
Saving and sharing use system interfaces and the destination you choose. The operating system or file provider may require authorization for the action. You can review available permissions in your device settings. Denying access to a selected file can prevent processing that file.
If you choose a file held by a cloud provider, that provider or the operating system may download it. If you save to a cloud location or share through another app, that service may upload the copy. Those services operate under their own policies.
6. Advertising is currently disabled
Advertising is disabled in the current app configuration. While disabled, AVPCompress does not display banner or interstitial ads, initialize the advertising SDK through its advertising workflow, request ads, or initiate advertising consent requests or tracking authorization prompts.
The app contains an integration with Google's mobile advertising services for possible use in an advertising-enabled version. Advertising becomes active only when the developer explicitly enables it. The information below describes that conditional functionality; it does not mean ads are active in this version.
7. Information handled if advertising is enabled
An advertising-enabled version may show Google AdMob banner and interstitial ads. Google's advertising and consent services may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP address, device and app identifiers, device or app information, advertising interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. These services use information to deliver and measure ads, manage privacy choices, maintain their services, and prevent fraud and abuse.
Our current integration requests non-personalized ads. Non-personalized advertising can still involve device information, identifiers, local storage, and network requests. AVPCompress does not provide selected files, file names, paths, previews, document text, compression History, or device storage-capacity information to Google for advertising.
Where required, Google's consent service presents privacy choices before ads become eligible. Advertising eligibility also depends on applicable platform requirements. On iOS, any tracking authorization request is subject to the system's permission process. Tracking permission and advertising consent are separate choices. Refusing tracking, declining consent, or an unavailable ad does not restrict compression, previews, History, Save, or Share.
In an advertising-enabled version, you can reopen the advertising privacy form from the app's Privacy & ads screen when Google requires that option. Available tracking and advertising controls can also be managed in your device settings. Changing a choice applies going forward and does not reverse processing already lawfully performed. This developer-controlled advertising flag is not a user-facing ad preference.
For details about Google's practices, see Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
8. Information you send us
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, device details, screenshots, or attachments. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, and handle privacy requests. Please avoid sending confidential files or personal information that is unnecessary for your request. Children should ask a parent or legal guardian to contact support on their behalf.
Our email or support service provider may process those communications to deliver and store them. We may disclose information we actually hold when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or as necessary to protect rights, security, and prevent misuse, subject to applicable law. We cannot disclose local files we do not possess.
We do not sell your files or support correspondence. We do not use your files for advertising profiles or AI model training.
9. Retention and deletion
Compressed outputs and History are retained in app-managed storage until you delete them, remove the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to operating system behavior. Use History to delete selected results or the Storage & History controls to request deletion of stored results. Files being used by an active preview or export may require closure before deletion can finish; retry if the app reports a failure.
Working files and preview caches are temporary. The app cleans eligible temporary files during its lifecycle and provides storage cleanup controls. Temporary save/share handoff copies may be protected while in use and for approximately 24 hours after use; eligible copies are removed when cleanup next runs. Closing the app can delay cleanup. Local History recovery metadata or deletion markers may persist until replaced or app data is removed. Ordinary deletion is not a guarantee of forensic erasure.
Deleting an app-managed result does not delete the original or copies already saved, shared, backed up, or held by another app or provider. Manage those copies through the relevant device, recipient, or service. Clearing preview cache does not delete retained compressed results.
Device backups and restore behavior depend on your platform and settings. We do not operate a server backup of your files, and cannot restore deleted local results for you.
Support correspondence is kept while needed to resolve the request, manage related follow-up, or meet applicable legal obligations, and is then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. You may contact us to request deletion. If advertising is enabled, Google's retention practices apply to information it holds, as explained in its policies.
10. Security
AVPCompress uses app-managed storage and operating system access controls. Sharing can involve a temporary handoff copy and a limited access grant to the receiving service. We do not provide a separate encrypted vault. Device compromise, access by others to your device, and the services you choose can affect confidentiality. No storage or security measure is guaranteed to prevent every loss or unauthorized access.
11. Your privacy choices and rights
You control which files to select, which available metadata settings to use, whether to save or share results, and when to delete local results. You can manage permissions and app data through your device settings.
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also have rights concerning sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where applicable, and a right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Contact support@avpcompress.com to exercise rights concerning information we hold. We may request proportionate information to verify your request. We do not require you to send private local files to exercise these rights. Because we do not receive your local compression files or History, access and deletion of that data are normally performed on your device. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process support information as necessary to respond to your request or provide requested assistance, for legitimate interests in resolving issues and maintaining security, or to comply with legal obligations. Where consent is required for advertising or tracking, we rely on the applicable consent process before that activity is permitted.
12. International processing
Local compression does not involve an international transfer to us. If you contact us, use an external service, or use an advertising-enabled version, the relevant provider may process information outside your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for transfers for which we are responsible, we will use the required safeguards. Google's policies describe its international processing and safeguards.
13. Children
AVPCompress is available to users aged 4 and above, subject to applicable law. Children who cannot legally agree to the Terms must use the app with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian should help children choose files, review outputs, and decide whether to save or share information through another service.
The app does not require a child to create an account or provide a name, email address, or other personal details to compress files. Selected files, including photos, recordings, or documents containing information about a child, are processed locally and are not uploaded to us by the compression features. Advertising is currently disabled; the app does not initiate advertising consent requests, tracking authorization prompts, or ad requests while it is disabled.
We do not intentionally solicit personal information from children through support. A parent or guardian should contact support on the child's behalf and avoid unnecessary information about the child. If we learn that we have received a child's personal information without any legally required parental consent, we will delete it unless a limited exception or legal obligation permits or requires its retention. Parents and guardians may contact support@avpcompress.com to request review or deletion of information we hold about their child or to raise a privacy concern. Local files and History can be reviewed and deleted on the device using the app's controls.
Parental permission to use the app is not a substitute for verifiable parental consent where the law requires it for online collection. Any future online collection or advertising involving children would require the applicable child-privacy protections, disclosures, and consent arrangements before that activity begins. The conditional advertising description above does not authorize collecting children's information or tracking them.
14. External pages and policy changes
External websites, including a Google Sites page hosting this policy, operate separately from local compression. Their providers may process browser, network, and cookie information under their own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy for Google-hosted pages.
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. We will update relevant disclosures before introducing materially different data practices.
