Greetings!
I'm Avijoy Chakma, an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department at Bowie State University. Before joining Bowie State University, I completed my Ph.D. in Information Systems at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) under the supervision of Dr. Nirmalya Roy. My research was supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), and the Alzheimer’s Association. While at UMBC, I was a member of the Mobile, Pervasive, and Sensor Computing Lab.
I am from Rangamati, located in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh and have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). My diverse cultural roots and rigorous technical training drive my dedication to developing impactful technological contributions.
