Bob Marks and Sally Kloman: Bob is an active Certificated Flight Instructor at the Ramona Flight Training Center, with over 2,000 hours of flying time. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller for 27 years in Southern California.
Sally is a 37 year veteran of Air Traffic Control, in both the Navy and the FAA. She is a student pilot, and flies right seat on the Piper Turbo Arrow 4 she and Bob have at Ramona Airport. She also serves on the board of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1 in Riverside, CA.
Ramona Flight Training Center: Several of the Flight Instructors at the "FTC" graciously volunteer time to speak with our Explorers about careers in Aviation, and share their experiences of becoming a student pilot, and progressing into flying some of the most advanced aircraft in the world.
Aeromechanix: Airframe and Powerplant mechanics are in demand, and we have "A&Ps" come in and speak about careers in aviation maintenance on all kinds of aircraft, from small single engine aircraft to the most modern jets.
In addition, we have guest speakers who have made careers in Aviation as pilots in the military, in the civilian world, or both. Including a Blue Angel!
What we are saying is if you have an aspiring young person who is looking to find out what the world of aviation can offer personally and professionally, you've found the right place.
