Firstly, the users are advised to open the web browser on their Mac device.
After that, search for the official page of the Avast, i.e., avast.com.
After this, the users will be directed to Avast’s official page.
There, the users are suggested to tap on the “Free Antivirus” option given under the “Security” section visible on the upper-left corner of the page.
After that, the users will be taken to the next window, where they need to click on the “Get it for Mac” link given below the “Download Now” button.
Again the users will be transferred to the next page where two options are given, i.e., “Free Download” and “Buy Premium.”
Note: The users who want to use the free version are suggested to click on the “Free Download” button, and those who wish to use the paid version are advised to tap on the “Buy Premium” button as per their preference.
Note: if the download isn’t started automatically, the users are suggested to click on the “click here” link given on top of the page.
Once the Avast download is complete, the users are recommended to run the installation by tapping on the “Download file” option.
After that, the installation process will begin.
The users are advised to use their Touch ID to grant permission for the installation process if asked.
Note: the users can also click on the Use Password option and then follow on-screen instructions.
After that, the users should click on the “OK” button to allow Avast security to access the download folder.
If the “System Extension Blocked” notification appears on the screen, tap on the “OK” button.
Note: the users can untick the box if they do not want Google Chrome installed as their browser and then tap on the “Continue” button.
After that, the users are suggested to click on the “Close” option.
Next, the users should click on the “Move to Trash” option and then click on the “OK” option to allow the Avast Security installer to access their download folder.
Hence, the Avast Antivirus will be installed on the user’s Mac device.
