If you want a complete travel-ready entertainment system with dual earbuds and an airplane adapter for movies, choose Avantree Voyager & Avantalk; if you need studio-grade sound fidelity with wired flexibility and long-lasting battery life for movies, choose MEE audio M6.
• Avantree Voyager & Avantalk: Strength lies in its 2-in-1 design offering both ANC and open-ear buds plus a dedicated Bluetooth transmitter for TVs and planes; trade-off is the reliance on Bluetooth-only connectivity without traditional wired headphone jack options for the earbuds themselves.
• MEE audio M6: Strength is its professional-grade balanced armature drivers and Hi-Res codec support (LDAC/aptX) with detachable cables for ultimate durability; trade-off is the more complex setup requiring separate adapters for wireless use compared to an all-in-one box.
• Who it's for: The Avantree pick is ideal for travelers and commuters who need immediate wireless playback on flights or TVs without extra dongles, while the MEE pick suits audiophiles and musicians who prioritize sound accuracy and cable longevity over convenience.
The Avantree Voyager & Avantalk Infinity is built around the concept of frictionless listening, specifically designed for people who spend time in transit or need to watch content on non-Bluetooth screens like older airplane seats or hotel TVs. What stands out immediately is the inclusion of two distinct pairs of earbuds inside a single case. You get one pair with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for when you need total immersion to block out engine hum or crying babies, and a second pair with a semi-open design for comfort during long hauls where pressure buildup is a concern. This dual-approach means you can switch modes based entirely on your environment without buying separate gear.
The hardware itself doubles as a powerful transmitter. Equipped with Qualcomm technology and Bluetooth 5.4, this unit acts as a bridge for any device with a standard 3.5mm jack. The OLED screen display is a genuine game-changer for usability; instead of blindly pressing buttons hoping for a connection, you can see exactly which device is paired and the status of the connection. This makes it exceptionally easy to set up for movies on a laptop or tablet without fumbling through menus. Furthermore, the support for Auracast technology opens up possibilities for public spaces or group settings, allowing you to connect to shared broadcasts directly from the app.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you are looking for a pure audio experience that relies on a physical wire for zero-latency monitoring, this isn't it. The system is entirely dependent on the Bluetooth link between the transmitter and the earbuds. While the LE Audio and LC3 codec promise lower power usage and clearer sound, you are still tethered to the wireless ecosystem. Additionally, the note regarding pairing indicates you cannot connect two headphones via classic Bluetooth simultaneously to the same source, which limits multi-user scenarios unless you utilize the specific Auracast features. This is a device for the solo traveler or the movie watcher who values versatility and portability over raw audio engineering.

The MEE audio M6 PRO targets a different demographic entirely: those who treat their listening experience as a serious hobby or a professional requirement. These are in-ear monitors (IEMs) that come with a robust wired foundation, featuring a 5um driver diaphragm and an aluminum voice coil designed for improved midrange accuracy. If you are watching movies and care deeply about hearing every subtle instrument or dialogue nuance, the frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz and the balanced armature drivers offer a level of detail that consumer-focused Bluetooth earbuds often struggle to match. The build quality is engineered to last, with a shell made of durable plastic and an IPX5 rating that protects against sweat and weather, making them viable for outdoor use as well as indoor viewing.
What sets the M6 apart is its hybrid nature. It starts as a high-fidelity wired monitor but includes a Hi-Res Bluetooth adapter cable that transforms it into a wireless powerhouse. This adapter supports the full suite of Qualcomm aptX codecs, including aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless, alongside LDAC. For someone using a high-resolution audio source for movies, this ensures that the digital signal remains intact without compression artifacts. The inclusion of four EQ modes allows you to tune the sound profile to your preference, whether you want bass-heavy action scenes or crisp vocal clarity. With up to 14 hours of battery life on a single charge, the wireless mode is sustainable enough for long international flights or marathon movie sessions.
Despite these strengths, the M6 requires more effort to set up. Unlike the plug-and-play nature of the Avantree system, the M6 involves managing multiple cables and adapters. The Bluetooth adapter is sold separately or included depending on the specific pack configuration, and you must ensure you have the correct connectors (MMCX or 2-Pin). There is also a learning curve to swapping between the wired stereo cable and the wireless adapter. This product is for the user who wants the option to go fully wired for critical listening but needs the freedom of Bluetooth when they do. It is less about "just works" convenience and more about having the best possible audio performance with the flexibility to adapt to your workflow.

After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the Avantree Voyager & Avantalk for my personal movie-watching setup. The combination of the built-in airplane adapter, the dual-pair earbud system, and the visual OLED feedback creates a seamless experience that removes the friction often associated with watching content on older devices or during travel. While the MEE audio M6 offers superior technical audio specs, the Avantree system delivers a more practical, all-in-one solution for the average person who wants to sit back and enjoy a film without worrying about cables, adapters, or complex EQ settings. For movies, the ability to instantly connect to a TV or plane jack is worth the slight trade-off in raw audio resolution.
The MEE audio M6 carries an IPX5 rating, making it resistant to sweat and light rain, suitable for gym use. The Avantree Voyager & Avantalk does not explicitly list an IP rating in the provided data, so it is better suited for general travel and indoor use rather than heavy sweating activities.
No, the M6 PRO kit includes a Hi-Res Bluetooth adapter cable, so you can use the earbuds wirelessly right out of the box. However, the adapter uses specific DC cable connectors (MMCX and 2-Pin), so you must ensure you are using the included accessories or compatible replacements.
With the Avantree Voyager & Avantalk, you can use the two separate pairs of earbuds included in the case to share the audio, though the classic Bluetooth transmitter cannot pair two headphones simultaneously via standard protocols. The MEE audio M6 requires a wired splitter or a separate wireless adapter setup to achieve simultaneous listening.
The Avantree Voyager & Avantalk includes a dedicated pair of earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which actively blocks external sounds. The MEE audio M6 provides passive noise isolation through its in-ear fit and Comply memory foam eartips, but lacks active electronic noise cancellation.
