Effective date: May 28, 2026
The Timestamp Camera app ("the App") operates this policy as follows in order to keep your personal information secure.
The App has no account or sign-up function and does not directly collect the following:
Identifying information such as email, name, phone number, or address
Information requiring device permissions unrelated to the App's features, such as contacts or microphone
For ad delivery, Google AdMob may automatically process device identifiers (IP, advertising ID, etc.). For details, please see section 6 ("Advertising") of this policy.
The App invokes the system camera intent and stores captured photos, along with any photos you select yourself from the gallery, inside the App's private storage area on the device. No photo is ever sent to an external server; all photos are kept only on your own device.
Uses the system camera intent (no direct CAMERA permission requested)
Photo reading uses READ_MEDIA_IMAGES on Android 13+ and READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on earlier versions
Stored photos are permanently deleted immediately upon uninstall or via Settings → Delete All Data
Latitude/longitude and a reverse-geocoded address are collected only when the "Show location" option is turned on in Stamp Settings. The collected location data is used in only two ways: it is composited onto the photo as a watermark (the coordinates/address at the time of capture are placed at the bottom of the photo), and it is written into the photo file's standard EXIF GPS metadata tags.
The App never transmits location data to any external server. You can turn the location option off at any time in Stamp Settings, or block the location permission entirely from your device Settings → Permissions.
The following information that you create or configure within the App is stored only on your own device's internal storage and is never transmitted by the App to any external server.
Photo files with the watermark applied are saved in an app-private photo folder (LocalAppData) and are used for the gallery and detail views. Photo metadata such as the capture date/time, location, and file path is stored in a local SQLite database (LocalAppData) and is used for date grouping and search. Your stamp settings (date format, location ON/OFF, font size, and so on) are also stored in the SQLite database and are applied to your next capture. Your language setting is stored in a language.txt file (LocalAppData) to maintain the UI language, and your theme setting is stored in an app session file to maintain Dark / Light mode.
All of the above is permanently deleted immediately upon uninstall or when you run the "Delete All Data" function in Settings.
The App uses the network only in the following two cases:
Ad delivery — displaying Google AdMob ads and handling ad consent (UMP).
Contact us — when you invoke your mail app through the menu (the App simply opens the mail app; communication with the email service is performed by your own mail app).
Apart from item 1 above, the App does not transmit your photo, location, or settings data over the network.
A Google AdMob banner ad is displayed at the bottom of the screen. During ad delivery, the Google AdMob SDK may automatically process the following:
Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / AAID)
General device information such as IP address, device model, and OS version
Ad impression and click events
6-1. Consent (UMP)
For users in GDPR regions such as the EU / EEA / UK, the App obtains ad privacy consent through the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) dialog on first launch. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the Settings → Ad Privacy Consent menu. Users in other, non-regulated regions are not shown a separate consent dialog, and ads are delivered according to Google's default advertising policy.
6-2. Resetting your Advertising ID
You can reset or disable your advertising ID directly from your device settings.
Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google settings → Ads)
For ad delivery only, the App entrusts information processing to Google LLC (Google AdMob). The entrusted work covers ad delivery, ad performance measurement, and fraudulent-click prevention, and the retention/usage period follows Google's own policy.
You can review Google AdMob's data processing policies in the following documents:
Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
AdMob data use: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
Apart from ad delivery, the App does not provide or entrust any of your information to any third party.
You can exercise your rights regarding the data the App stores on your device in the following ways:
View: Check directly in the Gallery / detail view screens
Delete: Delete individual photos, or use Settings → Delete All Data
Refuse location collection: Stamp Settings → Show location OFF, or block the device permission
Change ad consent: Settings → Ad Privacy Consent (for users in applicable regions)
The App does not specifically target children under the age of 14. The ad SDK's TagForChildDirectedTreatment and TagForUnderAgeOfConsent options are both set to false, and we do not intentionally serve ads directed at children.
If the contents of this policy change, the changes will be reflected on this screen together with the app update. You can check the revision date via the effective date item.
For inquiries regarding the processing of personal information, use the Settings → Contact us menu within the App.
