To provide our automotive diagnostic services, the App collects the following specific types of data directly from you:
Images and Photos: When you use the "Scanner" feature, the App requests permission to access your device's camera and photo library. We collect only the specific photos you actively take or intentionally select to upload (e.g., photos of dashboard warning lights, engine parts, or OBD2 codes).
User-Provided Text: When you use the "AI Mechanic" or chat features, we collect the text descriptions you type regarding your vehicle's symptoms, noises, or issues.
No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, physical address, or phone number within the App. Please do not include personal information, license plates, or vehicle identification numbers (VINs) in the photos or text you submit.
The data we collect is used strictly for the following purpose:
To Provide Core App Functionality: The images and text you provide are analyzed exclusively to generate vehicle diagnostic guidance, identify dashboard warning lights, interpret OBD2 fault codes, and provide estimated DIY repair instructions.
We do not use your data for advertising, tracking, or selling to data brokers.
To analyze the automotive images and text you submit, the App shares this specific data (images and text) with a third-party artificial intelligence service provider: OpenAI, L.L.C. ("OpenAI").
Explicit Consent: We will never send your images or text to OpenAI without your explicit permission. The App will present a clear disclosure and ask for your consent before transmitting any data to OpenAI for analysis.
Equal Protection Guarantee: We confirm that our third-party partner, OpenAI, provides the same or equal protection of user data as outlined in this Privacy Policy.
No Model Training: Data transmitted to OpenAI via their API is strictly used to fulfill your specific diagnostic request. OpenAI’s API terms prohibit the use of your submitted images and text to train or improve their public AI models.

Local Storage: The generated diagnostic reports, histories, and related images are stored locally on your device so you can access your past scans. If you delete the App, this locally stored data will be permanently removed.
Third-Party Retention: Data sent to OpenAI for processing is retained by OpenAI only for a maximum of 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring purposes, after which it is permanently deleted.
The App requires the following permissions on your device to function:
Camera: Used strictly to allow you to take real-time photos of your vehicle's dashboard or engine parts for analysis.
Photo Library: Used strictly to allow you to upload previously taken photos of your vehicle's issues, and to save diagnostic reports to your device.
Our App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take steps to remove such information.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy and, where necessary, requesting your consent again within the App. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
