The Infinite Library Contribution Agreement
The Infinite Library Contribution Agreement (also referred to as “the Agreement” or “this Agreement”) applies to all creative work posted on The Infinite Library website and all affiliated sites (as indicated by notes indicating compliance with this Agreement). The Agreement also applies to all publicly posted work that uses copyrighted material that falls under this Agreement, whether or not compliance with this Agreement is indicated.
All works that fall under the Agreement are copyrighted by their respective authors and may be used with no restrictions for private use. In addition, all works that fall under this Agreement may be used in derivative works so long as the following conditions are met:
All derivative works made using material covered under this Agreement must also be licenced under this agreement and abide by its terms.
All works licensed under this Agreement must state clearly on every webpage that the work is licenced under this Agreement and provide the text of this Agreement somewhere on the website or provide a link to the Agreement on the Infinite Library website. Is is the responsibility of the site administrator to verify that their link is working.
All works under this agreement must allow derivative works to be created based on them under the terms of this agreement.
All derivative works under this agreement must provide, at minimum, a synopsis of the work sufficient to allow authors of further derivative works to maintain continuity. While the derivative work itself may require payment to access, this synopsis must be freely and publicly accessible.
Plagiarism of works under this Agreement is not permitted. Derivative works may utilize characters, plots, locations, and details from works under this Agreement, and may freely create synopses or wiki articles based on them. However, derivative works must be original works and may not copy text verbatim, in whole or in part, from works under this Agreement, except in clearly cited quotations.
