If you want a precise, heat-shielding shield for your 2018–2022 Chevrolet Equinox that installs without a single adhesive strip, choose AutofitPro Custom Fit Dashboard; if you need a textured, luxury-feel mat with glare reduction specifically engineered for the Mitsubishi Pajero European Specs from 2007 to 2025, choose Momoap Black Leather Style. These two products solve similar problems but speak to entirely different owners, vehicles, and driving lifestyles. One is a functional, utilitarian protector designed for the rugged simplicity of an SUV owner who wants their dash cool and scratch-free. The other is a style-forward accessory aimed at drivers who value a soft-touch interior finish while battling the intense glare of the sun on older, high-riding platforms.
• AutofitPro Custom Fit Dashboard: Its biggest strength is the specialized fitment for specific Chevrolet Equinox years combined with a felt construction that actively reduces dashboard temperature. Its trade-off is a strictly utilitarian black fabric look that offers no texture or luxury feel. This pick is for the practical Equinox owner prioritizing function over form.
• Momoap Black Leather Style: Its biggest strength is the premium microfiber leather surface paired with rebound sponge that cuts windshield glare while adding a softer, upscale tactile experience. Its trade-off is its exclusivity to the Mitsubishi Pajero European market, making it useless for any other vehicle platform. This pick is for the Pajero driver seeking a blend of comfort and style.
The AutofitPro Custom Fit Dashboard is built for the driver who treats their vehicle as a tool that needs protection from the elements rather than a showroom piece. Based on the specifications, this product is designed exclusively for the 2018 through 2022 Chevrolet Equinox SUV. The design relies on a high-quality felt material backed by a silicone sheet. This combination serves a dual purpose: it provides a non-slip base that keeps the mat in place during sudden stops or bumpy roads, while the felt itself acts as a barrier against UV radiation and scratches.
For those who spend significant time behind the wheel in hot climates, the primary feature of interest here is the ability to reduce dashboard temperature. Felt is a natural insulator, and when placed directly on the instrument panel, it prevents the hard plastic underneath from absorbing and radiating heat back into the cabin. This is particularly relevant for road trips where the sun beats down for hours on end. The matte black color ensures it blends seamlessly with the factory interior without drawing attention to itself.
Who should skip this? If you are looking for a product that adds a sense of luxury or softness to your hands while shifting gears or resting them on the console, this is not it. The material is purely functional. Furthermore, if you own a vehicle outside the specific Equinox model years listed, the custom fit will not work, and the silicone backing might not align correctly with the dashboard contours. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense solution for a very specific problem in a very specific car.

The Momoap Black Leather Style caters to a driver who cares deeply about the tactile quality of their interior and the visual comfort while driving. Unlike the simple felt pad, this cover features a microfiber leather surface over a layer of rebound sponge. This layered construction suggests a softer touch that feels more like the steering wheel or door panels of a higher-trim vehicle. The inclusion of a silica gel non-slip bottom ensures stability, but the focus here seems to be on the top layer's ability to provide a premium aesthetic upgrade.
A critical feature for this product is its ability to cut windshield glare. The microfiber leather and the underlying sponge structure likely diffuse light differently than a flat, hard plastic surface or a thin felt mat. For owners of the Mitsubishi Pajero European Specs (2007–2025), reducing that harsh reflection can significantly lower eye strain during long drives. The product comes in a set of 50 units, which implies a specific manufacturing batch or perhaps a multi-piece kit designed to cover various sections of the dash or console, though the core benefit remains the glare reduction and sun damage protection.
This product is ideal for the Pajero owner who wants to refresh the look of an aging dashboard without replacing the entire unit. The "Black Leather Style" designation indicates a desire for a sophisticated look that mimics genuine leather. However, it is strictly incompatible with any vehicle other than the specified Mitsubishi models. If you drive a different brand or a non-European spec Pajero, this item will not fit. It is a choice made for aesthetics and comfort, balancing functionality with a distinct upgrade in interior feel.
• Best for Heat Reduction → AutofitPro Custom Fit Dashboard. The felt construction with silicone backing is explicitly marketed for lowering dashboard temperatures during hot sunny weather, a key factor for summer road trips in an Equinox.
• Best for Glare Reduction → Momoap Black Leather Style. The microfiber leather and sponge layers are specifically noted for cutting windshield glare, offering better visual comfort for Pajero drivers facing direct sunlight.
• Best for Specific Vehicle Fitment → AutofitPro Custom Fit Dashboard. It is engineered solely for the 2018–2022 Chevrolet Equinox, ensuring a seamless, custom appearance that generic mats cannot match.
• Best for Tactile Comfort → Momoap Black Leather Style. The rebound sponge and microfiber surface provide a soft, luxurious touch that feels superior to the rougher texture of felt.
• Easiest Installation → AutofitPro Custom Fit Dashboard. It requires absolutely no adhesives; you simply place the mat on top of the dashboard, relying on the silicone backing for grip.
• Best for Long-Term Durability Feel → Momoap Black Leather Style. The use of microfiber leather suggests a material that resists cracking and wear better than standard felt over many years of exposure.
• Best Value for Utility → AutofitPro Custom Fit Dashboard. It focuses entirely on the core protective functions of UV shielding and temperature control without extra frills.
• Best for Interior Aesthetics → Momoap Black Leather Style. It transforms the look of the dash with a premium leather-like finish, appealing to those who want their car to look newer and more refined.
If I were planning a long road trip, my choice would depend entirely on the vehicle I was driving. In a Chevrolet Equinox, I would buy the AutofitPro Custom Fit Dashboard because the priority is keeping the cabin cool and the dash protected from the relentless sun without worrying about installation complexity. The felt material does exactly what it promises: it blocks UV rays and lowers the heat index inside the car. Conversely, if I were driving a Mitsubishi Pajero, I would choose the Momoap Black Leather Style. The ability to cut windshield glare is a massive safety and comfort plus on long highway stretches, and the soft leather texture makes the interior feel much more expensive and comfortable. Both are excellent tools for their respective jobs, but they serve different masters.
Yes, both products rely on non-slip backing materials. The AutofitPro uses a silicone sheet backing, while the Momoap utilizes a bottom silica gel layer to prevent sliding once placed on the dashboard.
No, the Momoap Black Leather Style is compatible only with the Mitsubishi Pajero European Specs from 2007 to 2025. Using it on an Equinox would result in a poor fit and lack of coverage.
The AutofitPro sheet is designed primarily to reduce dashboard temperature and protect against scratches and UV radiation. While it may block some light reflection due to its matte felt finish, the Momoap is explicitly engineered for cutting windshield glare.
Both are designed for easy, tool-free installation. You simply place the mat on the dashboard; neither requires adhesives or complex fitting procedures.
