This Privacy Policy explains how AI Book Cover Generator Studio ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding how your data is handled, particularly concerning third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) services.
1. Data We Collect and How We Collect It
We strictly limit the data we collect to the absolute minimum required to provide our core services.
A. User-Provided Data (Text Prompts):
When you use the App to generate a book cover, you type a description of the cover you want (a "Text Prompt"). We collect this Text Prompt directly from your input. We do not collect any personal identifiers, names, phone numbers, or account credentials linked to these prompts.
B. Device and Usage Data:
We may automatically collect anonymous, non-personal diagnostic data (such as app crash logs and generic device models) to improve the stability and performance of the App.
2. How We Use Your Data
The data we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- To provide the service: Your Text Prompts are used solely to instruct the AI to generate the book cover image you requested.
- To improve the app: Anonymous diagnostic data is used to fix bugs and improve performance.
We do not use your Text Prompts or any other data to track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
3. Data Sharing with Third-Party AI Services
To generate high-quality book covers, our App relies on external, specialized third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) services. We do not send your data to these services without your explicit, in-app consent.
When you consent and request an image generation, we share only your Text Prompt with the following third-party AI services:
- OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.):
What data is sent: Only the Text Prompt you type.
Why it is sent: To grammatically enhance and optimize your prompt for better image generation.
Data Protection: OpenAI operates under strict privacy commitments that provide equal or greater protection of your data. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models without explicit opt-in.
- Replicate / Black Forest Labs:
What data is sent: The enhanced Text Prompt.
Why it is sent: To render and return the final visual book cover image.
Data Protection: Replicate provides secure processing of the prompt to generate the requested image. No personal identifying information is attached to the prompt.
We do not share any personal identifiers (such as your Apple ID, device ID, or IP address) with these AI services. The requests are strictly limited to the text necessary to generate your image.
4. User Consent
Before any Text Prompt is sent to OpenAI or Replicate, the App clearly displays a "Data Notice" outlining exactly what data is sent and to whom. The App explicitly obtains your permission through an "I Agree" button. If you do not grant permission, no data is sent, and the generation process is aborted.
5. Third-Party Service Providers for Analytics and Payments
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to securely manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes anonymous purchase receipts and does not have access to your Text Prompts.
- Apple / Google: Payments are securely processed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. We do not collect or store your credit card information.
6. Data Retention and Security
We do not store your Text Prompts on our own servers. Once the image is generated and returned to your device, the Text Prompt is discarded by our application logic. We employ industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit between your device and the third-party AI services.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
