GAPS Shake
(GAPS Intro Stage 4)
(GAPS Intro Stage 4)
The GAPS shake is a nutrient-dense meal or snack that combines healthy fats, protein, and probiotics to support stable energy levels, satiety, and digestive function. A key feature of the GAPS Shake is its high healthy fat content. Fats help stimulate the release of bile from the gallbladder, which is important for the digestion and absorption of fat-soluble nutrients such as vitamins A, D, E, and K. Regular bile flow also supports the body's natural elimination processes and may help reduce bile stagnation. Egg yolks are particularly valued within the GAPS protocol due to their rich supply of choline, a nutrient involved in liver function, fat metabolism, and bile production.
