If you want stronger stated active noise cancellation and more listening modes for movies, choose ausounds AU-Stream Hybrid; if you need longer listening time per charge and more microphones for calls, choose SoundMAGIC T80BT.
For watching movies, my pick is the AU-Stream Hybrid when reducing surrounding sound is the priority.
ausounds AU-Stream Hybrid vs SoundMAGIC T80BT at a Glance
• AU-Stream Hybrid strength: Its stated ANC reduction is 28 dB, with an ambient sound function. Trade-off: Its listed battery life per charge is shorter than the T80BT’s in normal mode.
• T80BT strength: It offers four listening modes, Bluetooth 5.3, and connection to two devices. Trade-off: Its listed ANC reduction is 38 dB, but its ANC-on listening time is about four hours per charge.
• AU-Stream Hybrid is for: People who want noise cancelling, an ambient sound option, wireless charging, and up to nine hours of talk time.
• T80BT is for: People who switch between devices, want a low-latency game mode, and prioritize a six-microphone call setup.
• For movies: Choose based on whether ANC and the AU-Stream’s longer stated single-charge listening time or the T80BT’s flexible modes matter more to your setup.
The AU-Stream Hybrid is a true wireless in-ear model with hybrid active noise cancellation, an ambient sound function, and touch controls. Its stated noise reduction is 28 dB. That makes it a relevant option for movie watching in a room where steady background sounds compete with dialogue, though the specification alone cannot establish how much sound will be blocked in your particular setting.
Its listed battery life is 25 hours total, including nine hours of talk time and another 16 hours from the charging case. The earbuds use 9.2 mm titanium-composite dynamic drivers, with a stated frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Bluetooth 5.0 has a listed range of 32 feet. The case supports wireless charging and is described as taking 1.5 hours to charge.

I’d consider this model if you want a straightforward in-ear set with ANC, an ambient sound option, and a wireless charging case. Its IPX5 rating is relevant for sweat and exposure to a sustained, low-pressure water jet spray; it does not make the earbuds suitable for every wet situation. Skip it if you want multiple listening modes or dual-device pairing, since those features are not specified here.
The T80BT is also a true wireless, in-ear model with hybrid ANC, touch controls, and an IPX5 waterproof rating. Its stated ANC depth is 38 dB, and its four modes are ANC on, ambient transparency, normal Bluetooth, and low-latency game mode. For a movie watcher, those modes offer more ways to adjust how much outside sound comes through, although the product information does not specify a dedicated movie or dialogue mode.
Its battery figures depend on the mode: about five hours per charge in normal Bluetooth mode and about four hours with ANC on. The case adds up to 20 hours, for about 25 hours total in normal mode. It has 13 mm dynamic drivers and a stated frequency range of 20 Hz to 22 kHz. Bluetooth 5.3 and the ability to connect two devices give it a useful setup for someone who moves between a phone and another listening source.
The call setup is a standout on paper: three microphones in each earbud, six total, paired with CVC noise reduction. I’d look at the T80BT if calls, device switching, or low-latency gaming matter alongside listening. Its trade-off is shorter per-charge listening time, especially with ANC enabled. The sheet also gives a 10-minute charge figure for the earbuds, but does not describe that as a full recharge.
• Best fit if the stated ANC reduction is your deciding factor → SoundMAGIC T80BT. Its stated figure is 38 dB, compared with 28 dB for the AU-Stream Hybrid. Those figures are specifications, not a guarantee of the same result in every room or fit.
• Best for longer listening per charge with ANC off → SoundMAGIC T80BT. It lists about five hours in normal Bluetooth mode, compared with the AU-Stream Hybrid’s stated nine hours of talk time. These are different use measures, so don’t treat them as directly identical playback tests.
• Best for switching between two devices → SoundMAGIC T80BT. Its product information says it can connect to two devices; that feature is not listed for the AU-Stream Hybrid.
• Best for a range of listening situations → SoundMAGIC T80BT. ANC, ambient transparency, normal Bluetooth, and low-latency game modes give it more named options.
• Best if you need a stated talk-time figure → ausounds AU-Stream Hybrid. It lists nine hours of talk time, while the T80BT information emphasizes its microphone array but gives no comparable talk-time figure.
• Best for calls based on microphone count → SoundMAGIC T80BT. It has six microphones in total and CVC noise reduction; the AU-Stream Hybrid has dual microphones.
• Best for movies in a noisy space → Consider the T80BT’s stronger stated ANC, but check your fit and comfort needs. Both are in-ear earbuds with ANC. Neither data sheet establishes movie-specific sound tuning or a particular dialogue advantage.
• Best if you want a familiar voice-assistant setup → ausounds AU-Stream Hybrid. Its listed features mention Siri and “Ok, Google” voice-assistant support. The T80BT sheet does not specify voice-assistant support.
My Verdict
In my opinion, I’d choose the ausounds AU-Stream Hybrid for movies if I wanted ANC, an ambient sound function, and a case that supports wireless charging. Its listed nine hours of talk time also makes it appealing for longer stretches away from the case.
The AU-Stream Hybrid offers ANC and an ambient sound function; the T80BT offers ANC, transparency, normal Bluetooth, and low-latency game modes. The T80BT lists a higher ANC reduction figure, but neither product sheet specifies movie-focused audio tuning.
The T80BT lists ANC depth of 38 dB, while the AU-Stream Hybrid lists noise reduction of 28 dB. These specifications are not a promise of identical real-world performance for every wearer or environment.
The T80BT lists six microphones and CVC noise reduction. The AU-Stream Hybrid has dual microphones and specifies up to nine hours of talk time, so it may suit someone who wants a stated talk-time figure as well as call support.
“Best” depends on your priorities and fit. Based on the listed features, the T80BT has the higher ANC figure, while the AU-Stream Hybrid combines ANC with wireless charging and a stated nine hours of talk time. Neither sheet identifies a movie-specific sound mode.
