Calling all students at AuSIS Schools!
We’re excited to launch a short-film competition that you can enter individually or as a group!
Create a film that’s 3 minutes or less, featuring all three of the following:
Your school.
Your science teacher.
Your school’s AuSIS seismometer.
Your film can be documentary, fictional, humorous, dramatic - or anything in between. Be as creative as you like!

Become AuSIS EarthFest Champion 2025.
A trophy engraved with your school’s name
Your video will be shown at the Australian Academy of Science's Shine Dome as part of the AuScope Research Conference 2025.
A bunch of AuSIS merchandise.
A certificate recognizing your achievement.
How to enter in 3 easy steps:
Create your film (3-minutes or less).
Ask you teacher to upload the video to AuSIS before 30th August 2025. We’d love to see your video, so if it’s a little late, no worries — just get in touch with Sima.

This competition is open to all students from schools hosting an AuSIS seismometer.
