The Research Group on Language and Linguistics
I am an Assistant Professor (Professor Lector) in the Department of English and German Studies at Universitat Rovira i Virgili. I obtained my PhD in Linguistics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2021.
My research is centered on lexical semantics, verb meaning, syntax-lexicon interface, argument and event structure. I am interested in the interaction between meaning and syntactic structure, i.e in how verb meaning can determine or constrain syntactic structure and vice versa.
Some of the topics I have worked on include the expression of resultativity, manner/result complementarity, argument structure alternations, unaccusativity-unergativity, intentionality.
Feel free to contact me regarding potential collaborations or projects related to my areas of research.
