AuraLens: Scan Your Vibe – Privacy Policy

AuraLens (“Application”) is developed and maintained by Ankit Kushwaha (“Service Provider”) as a free mobile application.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Application.

1. Information We Collect

Device & Usage Data

The Application may collect non-personal information such as:

• Device type and operating system version

• App usage statistics (such as screens viewed and time spent)

This data is collected solely to improve app stability, performance, and overall user experience.

Note on Functionality:
AuraLens is an entertainment application designed to simulate "aura" or "vibe" analysis for fun. It is not a matchmaking, dating, or social networking service.

Approximate Location

The Application may access approximate (non-precise) location information for analytics and advertising relevance.
Exact GPS location is never collected or tracked.

Photos & Media

The Application accesses images only when you explicitly select a photo for aura analysis.

• Images are processed locally on your device

• Images are not uploaded, stored, or shared with our servers
  
  

Why READ_MEDIA_IMAGES Permission Is Required
This permission allows the Application to read images only when you choose a photo for aura scanning.
The Application does not access images automatically or in the background.

Camera Access

The Application may use the device camera only when you choose to capture an image for aura scanning.

• Camera access is entirely user-initiated

• Captured images are processed locally

• No camera data is recorded, stored, or shared

Vibration

Vibration is used only for basic user feedback (such as button interactions or alerts).
No personal or usage data is collected through vibration.

2. Background Tasks & Notifications

WorkManager Usage

The Application uses Android WorkManager to schedule periodic background tasks required for core functionality, such as delivering daily reminders and notifications.

• Background tasks run locally on the device

• No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted through these tasks

• WorkManager does not access photos, camera, location, or other sensitive data

• Tasks are limited to essential app functionality only

Notifications

AuraLens may send local notifications to enhance user engagement, including:

• Daily aura reminders

• Feature tips or usage prompts

• Notifications are generated locally on your device

• No personal data is transmitted to send notifications

• Notification permission is optional and can be revoked anytime from device settings
  
  

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

AuraLens displays advertisements using Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service.

AdMob may collect:

• Advertising ID

• Device identifiers

• Approximate location

• Ad interaction data

This information is used to:

• Display relevant ads

• Measure ad performance

• Prevent fraud and abuse

Users who purchase the ad-free option will no longer see advertisements within the Application.
You can opt out of personalized ads or reset your Advertising ID from Google Ads Settings.

4. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

AuraLens offers optional in-app purchases through Google Play Billing to unlock features such as an ad-free experience.

• All payments are processed securely by Google Play

• AuraLens does not collect or store payment information

• Google Play may provide purchase status to enable purchased features and restore purchases

• Billing, refunds, and subscription policies are governed by Google Play
  
  

5. Third-Party Services

The Application uses:

• Google Play Services – Core functionality and security

• Google AdMob – Advertisement display

• Firebase Analytics – Anonymous usage analytics

• Firebase Crashlytics – Crash reporting

• Firebase Firestore – Remote configuration management

These services may collect anonymized data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

6. Cloud Configuration (Firebase Firestore)

Firebase Firestore is used only to manage remote configuration such as:

• Enabling or disabling advertisements

• Controlling ad-related behavior

No personal or user-identifiable information is stored in Firestore.

7. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed only:

• When required by law

• To protect user safety or prevent fraud

• With trusted service providers under confidentiality obligations

8. Data Retention & User Control

• Data is retained only as long as necessary for app functionality

• You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application

9. Backup & Restore

Application data may be included in Android’s automatic system backup and restore process depending on device settings.
The Application itself does not provide a manual backup feature.

10. Age Restriction & Children’s Privacy

AuraLens is intended for users 18 years of age or older. In compliance with Google Play’s Age-Restricted Content and Functionality Policy, we do not knowingly collect, store, or process personal information from minors.

If you are under the age of 18, please do not use this Application.

We utilize Google Play Console age-based safeguards and distribution controls to help restrict access where users are identified as minors.

If we become aware that personal information from a minor has been collected inadvertently, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information promptly.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Background tasks executed via WorkManager do not perform tracking, profiling, or personal data collection.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Application after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
