“Together We Remember 2026” is an event showcasing powerful exhibitions at AUPP that explore issues of consent and the denial of marriage rights, alongside a screening of Rithy Panh’s film Interview with Pol Pot. The program also includes educational visits to the Toul Sleng Museum, offering deeper context on the cruelty of the regime.

Join us for a meaningful discussion and collective reflection on these historical events. Together we will deepen our understanding of the Khmer Rouge period and consider how Cambodia’s next generation can contribute to remembrance, justice, and rebuilding.

We extend our deepest thanks to the Bophana Center for their generous cooperation and support in allowing us to screen Rendez‑vous avec Pol Pot (Meeting with Pol Pot) and to share its trailer with our community. Your partnership has been vital in helping us bring this significant work to our audiences and in supporting our shared efforts to remember, learn, and heal.

Join the AUPP Community for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) for film screening and conversation as part of our Together We Remember 2026 observance. We are pleased to offer a complimentary screening of the powerful documentary Meeting with Pol Pot, directed by Rithy Panh. The film explores painful chapters of our region’s history with care and urgency, and we hope it will prompt reflection, discussion, and greater understanding.
