Meak Bochea Day is a significant Buddhist festival celebrated annually on the 15th day of the first lunar month of Mekha, marking the moment when the Buddha proclaimed the establishment of Buddhism in the world in India. πŸ’«πŸŒΏ

This festival serves to commemorate three key events integral to the Buddhist tradition: first, it celebrates the four-fold assembly highlighting the importance of communal harmony in the practice of Buddhism. Second, it honors the occasion when the Buddha delivered the Patimokkha sermon, which articulates the ethical precepts central to monastic life. Lastly, Meak Bochea Day acknowledges the establishment of the Sangha, the community of monks that plays a crucial role in the preservation and dissemination of Buddhist teachings.

Together, these events underscore the foundational principles of Buddhism and the significance of community and ethical conduct within the faith.

On the occasion of the 27th National Mine Awareness Day, the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) reaffirms its unwavering commitment to a safer nation under the theme "Let’s all join together to keep refugees and communities safe.” 🀝🌍

The RGC emphasizes that while significant progress has been made, the presence of landmines and explosive remnants of war, particularly cluster munitions and unexploded ordnance in border regions, continues to pose a threat to our people. βš οΈπŸ’£ To address this, the government is intensifying its technical clearance operations and land surveys to reclaim every square kilometer for safe use.

The RGC urge all citizens, especially those in high-risk areas, to remain vigilant as we work collectively toward the ultimate goal: a Cambodia free from the impact of landmines and explosive remnants of war. πŸ‡°πŸ‡βœ¨

Congratulations on National Culture Day πŸŽ‰

Youth for National Culture! 🌟

The National Culture Day calls on citizens to learn about, cherish, care for, and safeguard our national culture. It is an opportunity to promote the vital moral values of young people, who serve as the driving force in preserving, protecting, and developing our cultural heritage, customs, and traditions. These elements are the identity and soul of the nation including the rich and diverse cultures of indigenous communities and must be preserved for all time.

May National Culture Day be remembered by all Cambodian citizens in accordance with the slogan β€œCulture fades, nation dissolves, culture flourishes, nation glorifies.” National Culture Day encourages everyone to know, love, care for, and preserve our cultural heritage, and especially to nurture the moral values of young people who will drive the safeguarding and promotion of our traditions, customs, and identity. Protecting and appreciating national cultural heritage remains a top priority of the Royal Government, embedded in national policies and strategies such as the Pentagon Strategy, Phase 1 of the Royal Government of the 7th term. The Government continues to work tirelessly to achieve new milestones, to elevate Cambodia’s cultural profile internationally under the banner β€œCambodia: Kingdom of Culture,” strengthen our soft power, and build a vibrant, modern cultural ecosystem. Through these efforts, we aim to ensure that the diverse cultures of all communities endure and contribute to a civilized, proud nation for generations to come.

Celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026, under the theme β€œPeace and Security for Women and Families,” a timely reminder that peace and security are not distant policy goals but lived realities that begin in homes and communities and are sustained by the dignity, safety, and opportunities afforded to women. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸŒ

Women are honored in every role mothers and caregivers, homemakers, community and national leaders, entrepreneurs, public servants, women in rural and remote areas, women with disabilities, indigenous women, women in safety centers, and girls who will inherit the future and call for sustained, coordinated action from government, civil society, the private sector, and families to strengthen legal protections, expand access to education, health care, and economic opportunity, ensure inclusive social protection, and transform social norms so that the hard-won peace in Cambodia achieved through courage, sacrifice, and long-term strategic vision by past and present leaders translates into tangible security, equal rights, and real opportunities for all; only then can every family and community, across all ethnicities and regions, truly flourish for generations to come. ✨

Women are both the heart of the family and leaders in society, and their safety and progress are integral to the stability and β€œWin‑Win” peace policies of Cambodia. ❀️

Cambodian Paris Peace Agreements πŸ‡°πŸ‡πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

The Paris Peace Accords, signed on October 23, 1991, by the four warring Cambodian parties in Paris, France, were instrumental in formally ending Cambodia's civil war after more than two decades of conflict. This pivotal agreement established the foundation for a new government by enabling elections, the drafting of a constitution, and the withdrawal of Vietnamese volunteer troops; it also invited King Norodom Sihanouk to return, establishing the Second Kingdom of Cambodia, a constitutional monarchy that remains in place today. The core principles of the Accords were incorporated into the nation's current constitution and gave Cambodia the crucial opportunity to achieve the peace and development it has experienced since then.

Celebrating Peace Day in Cambodia πŸ•ŠπŸ‡°πŸ‡

The Win-Win Policy serves as a strategic framework aimed at resolving internal conflicts in Cambodia in the pursuit of peace.

This policy is grounded in the formulation of key principles intended to ensure three essential forms of security. Firstly, it guarantees personal security for families who voluntarily choose to end hostilities and reintegrate into the national society. Secondly, the policy provides assurances regarding occupational safety, enabling individuals to secure their livelihoods and participate fully in the workforce. Lastly, the Win-Win Policy emphasizes the protection of property rights, safeguarding existing property and belongings from confiscation. Collectively, these principles create a comprehensive approach to fostering stability and reconciliation within Cambodian society.
