This Privacy Policy explains how AUM CHECKIN, developed as part of the AUM POS product family, handles information when guests or customers use the App for self-service experiences at participating salons and spas (for example, checking in, viewing services, or completing steps your location enables on a customer-facing device). We are committed to protecting privacy and being transparent about how data is processed.
When your location uses the App with customers, it may process data that customers or staff enter on the customer-facing flow or that is generated through normal operations, including:
- Customer profile and contact details used for check-in or service (e.g., name, phone number, email, address, date of birth, notes, photos where used)
- Service selection, check-in, order, checkout, tax, and payment-related records (where those features are enabled for the customer experience)
- Device and connection information when the App uses the network (e.g., device type, OS version, app version, IP address)
We do not sell personal information to data brokers for unrelated advertising.
We do not use the App to collect information for purposes unrelated to the customer service workflows your business enables on the device and any services you configure.

- Provide customer self-service, check-in, service browsing/selection, and related flows your location enables
- Operate checkout or payment steps where included in the customer build
- Improve reliability and experience of the software where applicable
Marketing or promotional communications apply only if your organization opts in and the law allows.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. Uninstalling the App from a device may remove local data on that device subject to how your OS and backup settings work.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as necessary to:
- Process payments with payment processors or partners you connect
- Comply with legal requirements
The App may request permissions depending on features your location enables, for example:
- Camera or photo library (e.g., profile or attachment features where supported)
- Bluetooth (only if your customer build uses nearby device features such as printers — omit or adjust if not used)
- Location (when the operating system requires it for discovering nearby Bluetooth devices — not for ongoing customer location tracking unless you truly use it that way)
- Internet (sync, updates, optional AI)
- Notifications (e.g., status alerts where your workflow uses them)
