About the project
This project's objective is to develop an augmented reality campus tour application, which should guide students and visitors of the University of the Western Cape around the campus in a safer, more fun and creative way. A smartphone’s built-in rear camera will be used to view the real world, while the Global Positioning System tracks real time movement, so as the student or visitor moves through the campus, the application should display important building information when pointing the camera towards particular buildings. In addition, the application should also display directions to a desired destination if the student or visitor sets a route to travel.
