The 1st International Workshop on Autonomous UAV Swarms and Distributed Airborne Tracking Systems (AuDiSys 2027) will be held in conjunction with the International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking (ICDCN 2027).
The International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking (ICDCN) is a premier international forum dedicated to advances in distributed computing, networking, and their emerging applications. Since its inception, ICDCN has earned a strong reputation as one of the leading conferences in the field by bringing together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to present and discuss cutting-edge innovations. The conference features a highly selective technical program comprising research papers, workshops, tutorials, posters, demonstrations, and a doctoral symposium, offering an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. The 2027 edition of ICDCN will be hosted by the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, India.
As part of ICDCN 2027, the inaugural edition of AuDiSys 2027 aims to foster interdisciplinary research at the intersection of autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarms, distributed intelligence, airborne sensing, and collaborative tracking systems. Recent advances in artificial intelligence, edge computing, wireless communications, and multi-agent systems have enabled UAV swarms to perform complex cooperative missions with minimal human intervention. These capabilities are transforming a wide range of applications, including disaster response, environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, border surveillance, smart cities, infrastructure inspection, and defense.
AuDiSys 2027 provides a dedicated forum for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and government organizations to present novel ideas, share practical experiences, and discuss future directions in intelligent airborne systems. The workshop particularly encourages research that integrates onboard intelligence, distributed decision-making, cooperative perception, and resilient aerial networking to enable scalable and trustworthy autonomous UAV operations.
The workshop invites original research papers, position papers, and demonstration papers presenting novel theoretical contributions, system implementations, experimental studies, and real-world applications related to autonomous UAV swarms and distributed airborne tracking systems.

Proceedings
ICDCN 2027 workshop proceedings will be published as a companion volume along with the main conference proceedings via ACM ICPS. Please note that ACM has moved to a new open access publishing model. Authors may be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) if their organization is not a member of the ACM Open program.
