If you want a lightweight, foldable wired headset with a USB-C connection that stays comfortable during commutes and casual listening, choose Audio-Technica ATH-S120C-LV; if you need professional-grade studio monitoring with deep bass, over-ear isolation, and high-resolution audio accuracy for mixing or long sessions, choose OneOdio Monitor 60.
• Audio-Technica ATH-S120C-LV: The standout strength is its compact, flat-folding design paired with a modern USB-C connector for direct device integration, making it ideal for travel and portability. The trade-off is the on-ear fit and lack of active noise cancellation, which may not suit those seeking total immersion or heavy bass impact. This pick is for the commuter who needs a reliable, no-fuss wired solution that fits in a pocket.
• OneOdio Monitor 60: Its greatest asset is the powerful 50mm dynamic drivers delivering accurate, Hi-Res sound with a spacious soundstage, wrapped in plush over-ear cushions for extended comfort. The compromise is its bulkier size, coiled cabling for studio use, and absence of a wireless option, which limits mobility. This pick is for the home listener, podcaster, or producer who prioritizes audio fidelity and durability over portability.
The Audio-Technica ATH-S120C-LV is engineered for the person who values convenience and modern connectivity above all else. Its defining feature is the USB-C connector, which eliminates the need for dongles or adapters when connecting to newer smartphones, tablets, or laptops. This isn't just a minor detail; it means you can plug directly into your daily driver without fumbling with extra cables. The inline microphone and controls are intuitive, allowing you to manage calls, skip tracks, and adjust volume without breaking stride. For someone navigating a busy day, this level of control is essential.
Comfort plays a massive role here, but it is achieved through a different philosophy than full-size headphones. These are on-ear units designed to be lightweight and compact. The housings fold completely flat, a feature that screams utility. You can toss them into a small bag or even a large coat pocket without them taking up space or getting damaged. The fabric and silicone materials used in the enclosure suggest a focus on breathability and a secure fit that doesn't feel heavy after an hour of wear. If you are looking for a sweatproof bluetooth headset for workout scenarios, this might seem like a contender due to its lightweight nature, but remember it is strictly wired and relies on physical fit rather than specialized sweat-resistant technology.

Who should buy this? It is perfect for students, travelers, or office workers who need a dependable pair of headphones for podcasts, lectures, or casual music consumption. The frequency response range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz covers the standard spectrum of human hearing, ensuring clear vocals and balanced mids. However, if you are an audiophile chasing sub-bass rumble or a DJ needing to isolate every frequency in a noisy room, these will likely fall short. They are not designed for silence; they rely on passive sound isolation. If you require a sweat resistant true wireless earbuds for workout experience, you will find the wired constraint limiting. But for general daily use where a flat-fold design is non-negotiable, this is a solid choice.
The OneOdio Monitor 60 enters the arena as a serious tool for critical listening. This is not a headphone designed to be tucked away in a bag; it is meant to be set up and left there. The primary draw is the 50mm large diaphragm driver, which pushes the frequency response out to 40,000 Hz. While human hearing tops out around 20,000 Hz, this extended range suggests a level of detail retrieval and clarity that standard consumer headphones often miss. The result is a sound signature that is described as warm, smooth, and crystal clear, revealing nuances in music that get lost on lesser equipment. Whether you are listening to electronic beats, rock anthems, or classical compositions, the separation of spaces and layers is distinct.
Comfort on the Monitor 60 is achieved through an over-ear design featuring soft artificial leather ear cushions. These pads are thick and deep, creating a seal that provides unexpected passive isolation. This is crucial for anyone working in a slightly noisy environment or simply wanting to block out the world while mixing tracks. The steel headband offers adjustable tension, ensuring the clamp force is just right—not too tight to cause headaches, but firm enough to stay put. The rotating earmuffs allow you to angle the cups perfectly to your ears, enhancing the fit further. The included cables are a testament to its versatility: a coiled cable for studio desks, a longer straight cable for TV viewing, and a mic-equipped cable for phone calls.
This product is for the content creator, the musician, or the dedicated listener who spends hours immersed in their audio. If you are setting up a home studio or a podcast corner, the ability to connect via 3.5mm or 6.35mm adapters makes it compatible with almost any audio interface or mixer. It handles vocal microphones and acoustic instruments well. However, the bulkiness is real. You cannot easily carry this to a gym or a coffee shop without a case. If you are searching for the best bluetooth earbuds for workout, this is not it. It is a stationary powerhouse. The lack of wireless capability means you are tethered to your device, but the trade-off is zero latency and consistent power delivery.

• Best for Casual Commuting → Audio-Technica ATH-S120C-LV: Its lightweight nature and simple inline controls make it easier to manage in transit than the heavier, multi-cable setup of the Monitor 60.
• Best for Durability and Build Quality → OneOdio Monitor 60: The metal components and reinforced hinges suggest a build intended to withstand years of studio use, whereas the Audio-Technica model focuses on lightweight plastic and fabric construction.
I would choose the OneOdio Monitor 60 for my own personal collection, primarily because I prioritize sound quality and long-term comfort over how small a device folds. The extended frequency response and the quality of the over-ear cushions create an immersive experience that the smaller Audio-Technica model simply cannot match. However, if your primary goal is finding a sweatproof bluetooth headset for workout situations or something that fits effortlessly into a backpack for a quick commute, the Audio-Technica ATH-S120C-LV is the practical winner. For serious listening at home or work, the Monitor 60 is the superior investment.
Neither model is designed as a dedicated sports headphone. The Audio-Technica is lightweight and portable, but it lacks specific sweat-proofing ratings found in true wireless sports gear. The OneOdio is heavy and wired, making it unsuitable for running. For a sweat resistant true wireless earbuds for workout, you would need a different category of product entirely.
Yes, the Audio-Technica ATH-S120C-LV supports iOS and Android devices generally, but it uses a USB-C connector. Older devices with Micro-USB ports would require a specific OTG adapter to function, as the cable is not reversible to Micro-USB.
Absolutely. The included 3-meter straight cable allows you to sit back comfortably from your PC or TV, and the 6.35mm adapter ensures compatibility with various audio outputs. The immersive soundstage enhances movie dialogue and game sound effects significantly.
The OneOdio Monitor 60 offers superior passive noise isolation due to its over-ear design and thick, breathable ear cushions that seal around the ear. The Audio-Technica ATH-S120C-LV provides basic sound isolation typical of on-ear models, which may let in more ambient office noise.
