If you want an ultra-lightweight, open-air headset that eliminates ear pressure for long work sessions, choose Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X; if you need deep bass isolation and a warm, immersive soundstage for private listening in a noisy environment, choose SIVGA SV021.
When it comes to selecting the right pair of headphones for meetings, the difference between an open design and a closed-back wooden build is not just about style—it changes how you hear yourself and how others perceive your audio. The Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X offers a breathable, airy experience that feels almost weightless, making it ideal for those who sit at their desk all day. In contrast, the SIVGA SV021 brings a solid, premium construction with wood ear cups that seal out the world, delivering a rich, detailed sound profile better suited for focused immersion. Both are wired solutions, but they serve opposite ends of the listening spectrum.
• Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X: Its biggest strength is the 53 mm driver paired with an aluminum honeycomb shell and 3D wing support that creates a pressure-free, open-air fit perfect for marathon calls; its trade-off is zero noise isolation, letting every office hum leak through. This pick is for professionals who prioritize comfort and natural sound over blocking out distractions.
• SIVGA SV021: It shines with its closed-back beechwood housing and 50 mm dynamic drivers that deliver controlled bass and excellent sound isolation; however, the sealed design can feel warmer and slightly heavier on the ears during extended wear. This pick is for audiophiles or remote workers who need to block out background chatter while enjoying high-fidelity music.
The Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X is engineered specifically for the user who refuses to compromise on comfort. The design features a lightweight aluminum honeycomb casing that keeps the overall weight manageable, ensuring that even after hours of wear, the headset does not dig into your head or temples. This is not just about being light; it is about the "open-air" philosophy built into the very architecture of the ear cups. Because these are full open-air type headphones, there is no sense of pressure on the ears. This results in a completely natural sensation that many users find essential when they are glued to their screens for eight hours straight.

For anyone looking for the best head phones for meetings, this model stands out because of its self-adjusting 3D Wing Support. The total ear-fit design minimizes pressure while keeping the headphones securely in place without the clamping force found in many other models. The flexible raised-fabric earpads add another layer of durability and wearing comfort, which is crucial when you are taking back-to-back calls. The 53 mm drivers are designed to reproduce clear treble and midrange, ensuring that voices come through crisp and intelligible. With bobbin-wound CCAW voice coils providing superior power handling, the audio remains clean even at higher volumes.
However, you should skip this product if you work in a chaotic environment where silence is golden. The open-air nature means that external noise will pass right through the ear cups, and anyone sitting near you will hear exactly what you are hearing. If you need the best noise cancelling open ear headphones for meetings to block out a barking dog or a crying baby, this won't do the job. Furthermore, the lack of active noise control means you must rely entirely on the acoustic openness to avoid fatigue, which might not suit everyone. It is a fantastic tool for the quiet home office or the individual cubicle, but it demands a calm environment to truly shine.
The SIVGA SV021 takes a completely different approach, prioritizing immersion and sonic purity through a closed-back design. The star of this show is undoubtedly the construction. Crafted with real wood ear cups made from beechwood and reinforced with a metal frame, this headphone feels substantial and durable. The choice of wood is not merely aesthetic; the solid wood ear cups help suppress unwanted resonance, creating a warmer, more natural sound signature that many audiophiles crave. When you put these on, the closed-back design effectively reduces sound leakage and blocks external noise, offering a private listening experience that is hard to match with open designs.
This is the ideal choice for someone seeking the best hifi stereo sleep headphones for meetings in a shared space, or simply a user who needs to focus deeply without distraction. The 50 mm dynamic driver delivers deep, controlled bass and clear treble with excellent dynamic range. Designed for low distortion and high resolution, it provides accurate sound reproduction that makes music feel alive. The impedance of 45 ohms and sensitivity of 106 dB/mW ensure that it pairs well with standard audio sources while still delivering powerful output. The soft, ergonomic ear pads and adjustable headband provide stable support, though the sealed nature of the design means you will feel a bit more enclosed than with the ATH-AD700X.
You should consider skipping the SIVGA SV021 if you have sensitive ears that react poorly to pressure or heat buildup. Closed-back headphones naturally trap some warmth, and the solid wood and sealed design can make the ears feel hotter after several hours of continuous use compared to the breathable fabric of the Audio-Technica. Additionally, if your primary goal is to hear every nuance of your surroundings while working, the sound isolation here will be too effective, cutting you off from the room. It is a masterpiece for home listening and critical audio work, but it is less forgiving for all-day wear in hot environments.

• Best for vocal clarity in meetings → Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X (open-air design provides a natural, spacious midrange).

• Best for durability and build quality → SIVGA SV021 (real wood ear cups and metal frame offer a robust, premium feel).
• Best for preventing ear fatigue → Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X (no sense of pressure due to open-air construction).
• Best for a warm, musical sound → SIVGA SV021 (wooden housing suppresses resonance for a richer tone).
• Best for multi-tasking awareness → Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X (you can still hear your environment while listening).
After weighing the specs and design philosophies, I would buy the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X if my primary focus was using the device for meetings throughout the workday. The sheer comfort offered by the open-air design and the 3D wing support makes it the only logical choice for someone who needs to wear headphones for six to eight hours without feeling the weight or pressure building up. While the SIVGA SV021 sounds incredible for music, the sealed nature and potential heat buildup make it less practical for constant communication. In my opinion, the ability to stay comfortable while maintaining clear, natural voice reproduction is the deciding factor for professional use.
Both models feature a standard 3.5mm connector (with an included 6.3mm adapter), making them fully compatible with most desktop computers and laptops for meeting software, provided you do not require wireless connectivity.
Yes, the closed-back design with beechwood ear cups is specifically engineered to reduce sound leakage and block external noise, offering much better isolation than the open-air Audio-Technica model.
Neither model has a rechargeable battery; both are wired headphones that draw power directly from your audio source, so battery life is not a factor for either the ATH-AD700X or the SV021.
Absolutely, the lightweight aluminum honeycomb casing and self-adjusting 3D wing support are designed to minimize pressure and allow for extended listening sessions without fatigue.
