If you want premium wireless audio with a built-in microphone for calls and extended battery life, choose Audio-Technica ATH-S220BTBK; if you need a durable, wired multi-pack solution specifically designed for students using USB-C devices, choose MENGLALA USB C Headphones.
• Audio-Technica ATH-S220BTBK: Offers impressive 60-hour battery life and crystal-clear call quality via its built-in mic, but trades off portability due to its larger on-ear design and lack of a carrying case in the standard package compared to bulk sets.
• MENGLALA USB C Headphones: Provides a robust, ready-to-go classroom bundle of 50 units with stretchable bands for growing kids, but lacks any wireless capability or microphone entirely.
• The Verdict: The Audio-Technica is the choice for personal use where connectivity matters, while the MENGLALA is the definitive tool for equipping a group of learners.
The Audio-Technica ATH-S220BTBK is engineered for the individual who values freedom from cords and wants a device that keeps up with a busy, modern lifestyle. Its defining feature is the massive 60-hour battery life, which means you can listen to music, watch videos, or play games for days without hunting for a charger. This isn't just about convenience; it is about reliability. You do not have to worry about your headphones dying in the middle of a long commute or a work session. The inclusion of fast-charging support further cements this as a device for the active user, providing 3.5 hours of playback from just a 10-minute charge when you are short on time.
For anyone needing to stay connected beyond just listening to media, this model shines. It features a built-in high-quality microphone that allows you to take calls directly from the headphones without needing an external device. Whether you are taking a work call, chatting with friends, or using voice assistants for navigation, the audio remains clear. The multipairing function is another critical feature for the multitasker, letting you connect simultaneously to a smartphone and a PC or tablet. You never have to switch devices manually; the headset manages the connection, ensuring you never miss a notification or a message regardless of which screen you are looking at.

However, this headphone is not for everyone. It is strictly designed for adults or older teens who appreciate the nuances of high-fidelity sound and the comfort of a relaxed fit. The closed-back design minimizes sound leakage, making it suitable for shared spaces like offices or libraries, but it does not offer active noise cancellation. If you are looking for something specifically for young children to wear during physical activities like running, the on-ear fit might be less secure than a clip-on design, and the single-unit purchase price point makes it a less viable option for equipping a whole group. It is a premium personal device, not a disposable classroom supply.
The MENGLALA USB C Headphones serve a very specific, practical purpose: they are built for education and group settings where durability and cost-efficiency are paramount. The most striking aspect of this product is the "Classroom 50 Pack" configuration. Unlike buying a single pair of expensive headphones, this bundle provides 50 identical units, making it the ideal solution for teachers, schools, or computer labs that need to outfit an entire room instantly. The mixed-color design helps in quickly identifying whose headphones are whose, adding a layer of organization that is essential in a busy learning environment.
These headphones are explicitly designed for the digital shift in classrooms. They utilize a direct USB Type-C connection, meaning there are no dongles, adapters, or Bluetooth pairing steps required. Plug them into a Chromebook, tablet, or smartphone, and they work immediately. This plug-and-play simplicity is crucial for minimizing downtime during lessons or standardized testing. The design philosophy here is "listen-only." By omitting a microphone, the manufacturer ensures that students focus purely on receiving audio input, which is perfect for online learning modules, watching educational videos, or taking tests where background noise recording must be prevented.
Durability is the second pillar of this product's appeal. The description highlights stable construction and solid materials meant to withstand daily student handling. Kids are hard on electronics, and the stretchable headbands and rotatable earcups allow the headphones to grow with the child, fitting everyone from younger kids to teenagers and even adults. While the lack of a microphone means you cannot use these for phone calls or gaming chat, this limitation is actually a feature for their intended use case. They are not meant for social interaction; they are meant for focused listening. If you are searching for the best clip-on earbuds for sleeping, these are too bulky and wired, but for a child headset for running or general classroom use where wires are acceptable, their sturdy build offers peace of mind.

I would choose the Audio-Technica ATH-S220BTBK for my own personal needs because the combination of wireless freedom, a built-in microphone, and that incredible 60-hour battery life creates a versatile tool for both work and play. However, if I were a teacher or parent looking for the best clip on earbuds for sleeping (though these are on-ear, the concept of non-distracting audio applies) or specifically seeking a kids headset for running that won't break after a week of rough handling by a child, the answer shifts entirely. In those scenarios, I would buy the MENGLALA USB C Headphones. The sheer value of getting 50 durable, plug-and-play units makes it the superior choice for any situation involving multiple users or young learners who need a reliable, distraction-free listening experience.
Only the Audio-Technica ATH-S220BTBK supports calls; it features a built-in high-quality microphone. The MENGLALA USB C Headphones are a listen-only design with no microphone, so they cannot be used for conversations.
No, the MENGLALA headphones come with a built-in USB Type-C connector designed to plug directly into compatible Chromebooks, smartphones, tablets, and laptops without any additional adapters.
The Audio-Technica ATH-S220BTBK lasts significantly longer, offering up to 60 hours of battery life on a full charge. The MENGLALA headphones are wired and do not have a battery, so their usage is limited only by the cable length and device power.
