If you want immersive, wireless gaming audio with head tracking for your home setup, choose Audeze Mobius; if you need ultra-detailed, wired audiophile sound with a secure ergonomic fit for long sessions, choose SEEKHIFI S3.
• Audeze Mobius: Its biggest strength is the revolutionary 3D head-tracking and planar magnetic drivers that create a theater-like experience, but its trade-off is a heavy over-ear design that makes it impractical for active movement or running.
• SEEKHIFI S3: Its biggest strength is the precision hybrid driver system and custom 3D-printed shell that offers exceptional detail and a secure, lightweight fit, but its trade-off is the lack of wireless connectivity and built-in microphone support for calls.
• Who each pick is for: The Mobius is the ideal choice for a stationary gamer or movie buff seeking immersion, while the SEEKHIFI S3 is perfect for the critical listener who prioritizes sonic fidelity and comfort during extended listening.
The Audeze Mobius is engineered for those who want to step inside their entertainment rather than just watch it from the outside. At its core lies a pair of high-fidelity planar magnetic drivers, which are known for delivering deep, controlled bass and crisp highs that standard dynamic drivers often struggle to match. But what truly sets this headset apart in a crowded market is its integration of Waves Nx technology. This isn't just software; it is real-time 3D audio processing that uses precise head tracking to move the soundscape as you turn your head. If you are playing a first-person shooter or watching a movie, the audio reacts to your physical movements, making it feel like you are actually standing in the room where the action is happening.
This headset is built for the dedicated home user. Whether you are streaming Netflix, binge-watching a series, or diving into a complex strategy game on a PC or console, the Mobius offers a cinematic experience that feels more like VR for your ears. The inclusion of a removable boom mic means it can double as a communication tool for Twitch streams or phone calls, bridging the gap between passive listening and active social gaming. You connect via USB-C, Bluetooth, or analog cables, giving you flexibility depending on your device. However, the design is strictly over-ear, utilizing polycarbonate materials to house the electronics. This construction creates a substantial unit weighing 1.1 kg, which demands a stable environment.

You should buy the Audeze Mobius if your primary goal is to escape reality through superior spatial audio and you spend most of your time seated. It is an excellent solution for someone who wants to hear the subtle footsteps of an enemy behind them in a virtual world or feel the rumble of a car engine approaching from a specific direction. However, if you have any intention of wearing these headphones while moving around, jogging, or commuting, you should skip this model entirely. The over-ear form factor, combined with the weight and the reliance on precise head-tracking sensors, makes it unsuitable for anything other than a stationary desk or couch setup. It is a piece of high-end audio equipment designed for immersion, not for mobility.
In stark contrast to the bulky, wireless nature of the Mobius, the SEEKHIFI S3 is a precision instrument designed for the purist who values every nuance of a recording. These are in-ear monitors that utilize a sophisticated hybrid driver configuration, combining a single dynamic driver with four balanced armature drivers. This architecture allows the earphones to handle low frequencies with the power of the dynamic driver while using the balanced armatures to tackle mids and highs with surgical clarity. The result is a triple-frequency response that has been carefully calibrated to highlight intricate details across genres, from classical symphonies to hard-hitting rock tracks. The sound is not just loud; it is layered, allowing you to distinguish instruments that often blend together in lesser-quality headphones.
Comfort and fit are central to the design philosophy here. The shells are crafted from high-quality resin using 3D printing technology, which allows for a precise tailoring to various ear canal shapes. This ensures a secure seal that not only blocks out external noise through sound isolation but also keeps the earbuds firmly in place during vigorous activity. The faceplates are made from select wood material using CNC machining, adding a unique aesthetic touch that changes with every unit. Connectivity is strictly wired, featuring a durable braided silver-plated copper cable with a 3.5mm plug, along with a Type-C DAC adapter for modern devices. While the lack of Bluetooth might seem like a drawback to some, it guarantees zero latency and uncompressed audio quality, which is essential for critical listening.
This product is for the runner, the commuter, or the music enthusiast who refuses to compromise on fidelity. Because they are in-ear monitors with a secure fit, they are among the best options for people looking for volume limiting sports earbuds for running or anyone needing a headset for running that won't fall out. They offer a level of isolation that helps you focus on the music without raising the volume to dangerous levels. However, you must be prepared to carry a cable. There is no wireless freedom here, and there is no built-in microphone for taking calls while you listen. If you prioritize the raw quality of the sound and a fit that stays put while you move, the SEEKHIFI S3 is a compelling choice. If you need hands-free calling or wireless convenience, these will not meet your needs.
• Best for battery life and wireless freedom → Audeze Mobius, thanks to its integrated Bluetooth connectivity, whereas the SEEKHIFI S3 requires a constant wired connection.
• Best for active movement and running → SEEKHIFI S3, due to its secure in-ear fit and lightweight profile, compared to the heavy, stationary nature of the Mobius.
• Best for spatial awareness and gaming → Audeze Mobius, because its head-tracking and surround sound modes provide a 3D audio environment the SEEKHIFI cannot replicate.
• Best for detailed music reproduction → SEEKHIFI S3, leveraging its 1DD+4BA hybrid drivers for a wider frequency range and finer detail retrieval.
• Best for call quality and streaming → Audeze Mobius, as it includes a detachable boom mic for clear voice transmission, unlike the S3 which lacks audio input hardware.
• Best for noise isolation in loud environments → SEEKHIFI S3, utilizing physical sound isolation from the in-ear seal to block ambient noise effectively.
• Best for long-term seated comfort → Audeze Mobius, offering an over-ear cushioned design that distributes weight differently than in-ear monitors, though it is heavier overall.
• Best value for pure audio fidelity → SEEKHIFI S3, providing high-end driver technology and premium build materials specifically tuned for critical listening.
I would buy the SEEKHIFI S3 if my priority was finding the best bluetooth headphones for running or simply wanting high-fidelity audio that doesn't weigh me down. While the Audeze Mobius is undeniably impressive for its head-tracking capabilities, its 1.1 kg weight and over-ear design make it completely impractical for anyone trying to use a headset for running or active use. The SEEKHIFI S3 delivers a secure, isolated fit with incredible detail that works perfectly for volume limiting sports earbuds for running scenarios. For me, the ability to get accurate sound without being tethered to a chair or burdened by heavy plastic is the deciding factor, especially when the goal is mobility.
The SEEKHIFI S3 is suitable for running due to its secure in-ear fit and sound isolation, whereas the Audeze Mobius is too heavy and bulky for active use.
While the impedance is 7 ohms, the included silver-plated copper cable and DAC adapter allow for direct connection to smartphones and computers without requiring a separate amplifier.
Yes, the Audeze Mobius includes a removable boom microphone that works for communications like Twitch and phone calls, a feature the SEEKHIFI S3 does not have.
The SEEKHIFI S3 is likely superior for critical listening due to its hybrid driver configuration and balanced tuning, while the Mobius is optimized for cinematic and gaming experiences.
