•  Introduction
  Attendance2Day ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users who interact with our application. This privacy policy outlines how we handle personal data collected through the use of our mobile app. By using Attendance2Day, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

•  User Authentication and Access Control
  Attendance2Day requires all users to sign up and log in before using the app. Access to features and data within the app is restricted based on user roles, including students, lecturers, administrators, and college founders. Only authenticated users can access or manage academic information, and each user’s access is limited to their assigned permissions. This role-based control ensures that sensitive educational data is only visible to authorized individuals.

•  Information We Collect
  We collect personal data to ensure the app functions correctly and serves its intended purpose. This includes information such as your name, registration number, email address, college name, gender, address, designation, and profile picture. In addition, we may collect attendance records, exam results, class information, internal and external marks, student posts and images, assignment files, and related educational content. This data is used strictly for managing academic records and enhancing communication between students, lecturers, admins, and college founders.

•  Permissions and Device Access
  Our app may request access to certain permissions on your device to provide a smooth and full-featured experience. These may include access to your device’s storage for uploading photos and PDFs, post images, and access to the internet for synchronizing your data with our servers. We do not collect device-specific information such as your IP address, device ID, or operating system details.

•  Notification Services
  We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver real-time notifications. These notifications may include updates related to likes or comments on posts. We only store the FCM token required to send notifications. We do not use or store any device data beyond this, and no usage logs or tracking data are collected through our app.

• Media and Data Storage
  All user-uploaded media, such as profile pictures, post images, and assignment files, are stored securely using Amazon Web Services (AWS S3). Your personal and academic data, including attendance, results, and profile details, are stored in a secure MySQL database on our backend server. We use these platforms strictly for operational purposes to manage educational records and app content. No data is shared with advertising networks or used for analytics or profiling.

•  Use of Data
  We use the collected data to provide core functionality within the app. This includes displaying your attendance, managing academic posts, showing college-related updates, and allowing faculty or admin members to manage academic data. Your data is only accessible by authorized users within your institution, and access is restricted based on user roles such as student, lecturer, admin, or founder. We do not share your data with third parties, and we do not sell or rent any user information.

• Data Security
  To protect your data, we use encrypted communications, secure authentication, and access controls. Data in transit and at rest is protected using appropriate industry-standard security measures. The app backend and file storage are hosted on trusted cloud infrastructure providers with strong security guarantees.

• User Control and Deletion
  If you wish to modify or delete your information, you may contact your institution’s lecturers, who can make changes on your behalf. Users may also update certain profile details directly from within the app. We do not retain user data after account deletion, and all user information is removed from our systems in a secure manner.

• Children’s Privacy
  Attendance2Day is intended solely for use by college-level students, lecturers, and administrators. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.

• Changes to This Policy
  We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. Any modifications will be made available within the app or on our official privacy policy page. Continued use of the app following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
